The TNPSC Group 2 notification 2019 was published on August 10 last year. In the one year that followed the notification, the Tamil Nadu Combined Civil Services (group II services) examination prelims was held in November and its result was announced, then mains exam was held in February this year. Now the latest result declaration schedule at tnpsc.gov.in reveals that TNPSC Group 2 Mains Result 2019 will be declared for 1338 vacancies in September.
Result of mains exam held on February 23, 2019, will be published in the form of a list, containing register numbers of all candidates who are provisionally admitted to certificate verification. The dates and venue for certificate verification will also be notified in the result notification.
Candidates who are shortlisted for certificate verification on the basis of result of TNPSC Group 2 result 2019 of mains exam, will have to present documents to support their claims of age, educational qualification, technical qualification, religion, communal category, PSTM, and other aspects of candidature.
As per the TNPSC group 2 notification 2019 that was published to invite applications, the date of publication of main written examination results was August 2019. However now the mains exam result date has been pushed to September. After that, there will be a certificate verification, oral test, and counselling.
Last time, 2 thousand and 170 candidates were qualified for certificate verification. This time, 14 thousand and 726 candidates were qualified for the mains exam on the basis of result of preliminary exam that was held on November 11 last year, and results for which were published on December 17.
The mains exam was of 300 marks. It was a descriptive test with questions on the role and impact of science and technology in the development of India and Tamil Nadu, administration of union and states with special reference to Tamil Nadu, socio economic problems of India and Tamil Nadu, current issues at national level, current issues at state level.
Oral test will be in the form of interview, and will be of 40 marks.
The final distribution of vacancies for TNPSC Group 2 notification 2019 are also available now. The total number of vacancies stand at 1338. Maximum vacancies, 596, are for Senior Inspector of Co-operative Societies in Department of Registrar of Co-operative Societies. Second largest number of vacancies is 118 for Supervisor / Junior Superintendent in Tamil Nadu Agricultural Marketing / Agricultural Business Department. This is followed by 95 vacancies for Assistant Inspector in Local Fund Audit Department, and 54 for Senior Inspectors in Milk Production and Dairy Development Department.
