The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has declared Tamil Nadu class 11th and 12th result 2020 on July 16, 2020. The results were first declared in a press conference and then later on at 09:30 AM were published on the official website. Students can check their result from the websites, dge.tn.gov.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, tnresults.nic.in and dge1.tn.nic.in.
This year, over 8 lakh students appeared for Tamil Nadu HSC examination 2020. The pass percentage for this year is 92.34%. Girls outshine boys in class 12th exam by a huge margin of 5.39%. The pass percentage of girls is 94.8% and the pass percentage of the boys is 89.41%. A total of 62 prisoners also wrote the TN HSC examination 2020.
Tiruppur topped among the districts in TN HSC examination 2020. It recorded the pass percentage of 97.12%. Erode is at the second position with 96.99% followed by Coimbatore with the pass percentage of 96.39%.
This year, many students have missed the TN HSC examination due to the lockdown in the country in March. Nearly 35,000 students have missed their TN HSC examination 2020.

Next, in the login window, enter the details like registration number and date birth. After entering the details, click on the ‘get marks’ button. Lastly, download the result and take its printout for future references.
Last year, a total of 8,42,512 students appeared for TN HSC examination. Out of which, a total number of 7,69,225 students passed the examination. The overall pass percentage of the last year was 91.30%. Last year too, the pass percentage of the girls was 93.64%. The pass percentage of the boys was 88.57%.
Last year, the students belonging to the Science stream passed the exam with 92.75%. The students belonging to the Commerce stream passed the exams with 90.78%. The students belonging to the Arts stream passed TN HSC examination with 80.13%.
