On February 19, Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) has come up with the change in the pattern of the question papers. As per the reports, in the upcoming board examinations of class 11th and 12th, there will be only MCQ type questions in the objective section. Questions of type fill in the blanks are now removed from the question paper. This last-minute change in the pattern put the teachers, students, and parents in dilemma. They are not able to identify the change in the pattern.

Earlier in the last week of January TN board has released the model paper which consists of the questions of type fill in the blanks, match the following and the assertion type questions. But a month later TN board has changed the question paper pattern a little bit. Now under the objective section, there will be the only MCQ based questions. It means each question will have four options. This can also consist of the match the type questions but having four options.

TN board has made the level of class 11th and class 12th question paper easier. However, the decision of the board is not being liked by the students as well as the parents. According to them, this last minute change in the pattern creates confusion among the various students and teachers. There are no model papers available to be referred by the students.

Through reports, this also came to know that more than 17 lakh students of class 11th and 12th from private and government schools following the Samacheer Kalvi syllabus. Examinations are going to start from next month and this time parents are in a tension mode, worrying about their children’s marks scored in the exams. Marks obtained at the intermediate level makes the student eligible for the admission in higher studies.

By adding the optional based questions makes easier for the students to score more in the exams. Though the students have not received much time to go through the new pattern but increase the possibility of scoring good marks.

TN class 11th examinations are going to start from March 06. While the class 12th examinations are scheduled to conduct from March 01 to 19. Only a few days left to start the examinations and students are eagerly waiting for their hall ticket to be issued. Expecting to be released by the end of this month.

All The Best!
