Anna University is all set to conduct Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2018. The examination for M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., and MBA courses is due to be held on May 19, 2018. Whereas, the examination for M.C.A will be conducted on May 20, 2018. Anna University has also released the admit card for TANCET 2018. It is available at www.annauniv.edu and only the registered candidates can download it.

The schedule of the exam is mentioned on the hall ticket. The examination for M.E./M.Tech./
M.Arch./M.Plan. will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. On the other hand, the exam for MBA entrance exam will begin at 2:30 pm and will end exactly at 04:30 pm. On the next day, the examination for M.C.A is due to be conducted in the morning session, i.e. from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

It is important for the candidates to reach the exam hall in time. Also, the candidates must carry admit card and an essential document of ID proof. As a valid ID, the candidates can carry Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, Voter Id Card, College ID Card etc. Other than this, the candidates must also carry a black ballpoint pen. The answers in the OMR sheet are only to be marked with a black ballpoint pen.

At the exam hall, the candidates are to sit at their allotted seat only. Also, do not open the booklet seal unless asked for. There will be four answer options for a question and the candidates have to darken the bubble for the most appropriate response. For each question, there will be only one correct answer. If a candidate will mark more than 1 option as the answer, then it will be considered as an incorrect response and negative marking of 1/3 marks will be done.

Candidates should make sure that there is no extra mark on the OMR sheet. The shaded information is scanned by computer and any stray pen mark will be captured by it. Usually, the system will be considered as an incorrect response and negative marking will be done.

For MBA and M.C.A there will be 100 questions for both courses. For each question, there will be four alternative answers. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded. And for each wrong answer marked one-third mark will be deducted. It is important to note that in case of multiple shading for one answer. The answer will be considered wrong and one-third marks will be reduced.

For M.E./M.Tech./ M.Arch./M.Plan the exam will contain three parts. Part 1 will contain 20 questions, Part 2 will contain 35 questions and Part 3 will contain 60 questions.
