Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) examination 2019 is held to fill vacancies in ministries, departments, offices of Government of India, to multi tasking staff posts in level 1. The year 2019 selection processing is taking place after the year 2017 selection process.
As per the commission’s status report of results, SSC MTS tier 1 result 2019 is to be declared anytime today. However, the latest report is that SSC has postponed paper 2, by one week. They have not provide any reason for the postponement, besides it being an administrative decision. Therefore there are chances that the result of tier 1 / paper 1 could be delayed.
The notification on postponement of paper 2 was published yesterday. As per it, paper 2 will now be held on November 24, 2019. Earlier it was scheduled to be held on November 17, 2019. Admit cards will be made available for download at the official websites of the regional and sub-regional offices.
This year a total of 38.58 lakh candidates had registered for SSC MTS 2019, of which 49.73% that is 19.18 lakh candidates appeared. The exam was held in 39 shifts over 337 venues in 146 cities in 34 states and UTs.
Last time the SSC MTS exam was mired with controversies. In the year 2017, the exam was supposed to be held on April – June, but the exam had to be cancelled due to a paper leak. Again, the exams were held in September-October, and the result was announced in the month of January in 2018.
This year the paper 1 for SSC multi tasking staff recruitment has been conducted from August 2 to 22, 2019, and for Sringar center it was held on September 27, 2019. For the first lot, answer keys were released on September 6, 2019 and for Srinagar center it was released on October 3, 2019.
In the recent past, Staff Selection Commission has had three outcomes on the promised result dates. Either the result is announced on the date promised. Or it comes the next day. However, the third case happens when some important changes are done in the recruitment or some major issue happens, when the result is delayed for longer.
For SSC MTS 2019, until now things had been smooth. However, yesterday’s notification on delaying paper 2 has triggered the question whether SSC will delay MTS tier 1 result 2019 or announce it today only.
There is no word on the matter from the commission yet. The eyes of all the 19 lakh + candidates who appeared in the exam are glued to their screens, and everyone is stuck with refreshing the website ssc.nic.in every few minutes.
Candidates need not look at the official websites of SSC regional and sub-regional offices. Because the result will be published first at ssc.nic.in only. There will be different files in pdf format containing list of candidates qualified for paper 2, region wise, and details of paper 2. The vacancies for SSC MTS 2019 are also awaited.
