SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has delayed the SRMJEEE 2021 Phase 1 slot booking process by 1 day. The slot booking earlier was supposed to start from today i.e. May 19, 2021. However, now it will start on May 20, 2021. The University will start the booking at 8 am. SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) phase 1 will be held on May 23, 24, 2021 as a remote proctored exam.
The delay of the slot booking process has been notified on the official website of SRMIST, srmist.edu.in. Also, the last date to apply for Phase 1 is today, May 19. For phase 2 of the exam that will be held on July 25, 26, the application process will continue till July 20, 2021.
To book slots for SRMJEEE, candidates have to login with email id and password. After logging in, candidates can see the available dates and slots and select the suitable one. On successful completion of slot booking, candidates can download the SRMJEEE 2021 admit card / hall ticket.
To make sure the candidates are well versed in the process of taking the SRMJEEE remote proctored exam, SRMIST is also holding 2 mock tests on May 20 and 21, 2021. The mock tests are compulsory to attempt. The varsity has notified that “Only the candidates who have taken the mock tests will be allowed to take the main examination in the scheduled slot / time / date.”
The link for the mock test will be available on the website, srmist.edu.in. To take the remote proctored exam candidates must download and install the Safe Exam Browser (SEB).
SRMJEEE 2021 remote proctored test will be of a total of 150 minutes. The candidates have to login 1 hour before the exam starts to capture their photo and verify their identity. The test will end automatically after 150 hours are over, Candidates can voluntarily submit the test only after 120 minutes down the test.
To take the exam, candidates are advised to dress formally and keep the number active which is registered with SRMIST for SRMJEEE 2021. Candidates can use it to call the proctor assigned to them if they need it. All candidates will be assigned a proctor who will monitor their activities and guide them throughout the test.
The system configuration needed for the SRMJEEE 2021 remote proctored test is a laptop / computer with pentium IV / dual core, 1 GB RAM or higher, 80 GB HDD or higher, 15″ colour monitor, Keyboard, mouse, Microsoft window 10 or higher, Antivirus, Microphone, and webcam.
In case the candidates face a problem while taking the remote proctored test, they can write to the University. Another slot will be allotted to such candidates.
