SRM Institute of Science and Technology is scheduled to conduct the SRM Joint Entrance Examination – Engineering (SRMJEE) 2021 Phase II on June 29 and 30, 2021. Registration for the same shall be ending today, June 22, 2021, on the official website srmist.edu.in. Successfully registered candidates must begin booking their slots for the entrance exam from tomorrow, June 23, 2021. Those candidates who haven’t registered yet but are interested in appearing for SRMJEEE 2021 Phase II still have a few hours to complete the registration formalities. Authorities shall be closing the registration portal at 11:00 pm.
The Phase II exam is planned to be held next week and registered candidates can book their slots on the official website srmist.edu.in. The slot booking process can be accessed from June 23 to 25, 2021. Hence, candidates have a mere two days to book their preferred slot. They must bear in mind to attend the mock exam and the actual exam at the booked slot timing.
Along with slot booking, the instruction manual for downloading the hall tickets and appearing for the mock test shall be made available online on June 23, 2021, on srmist.edu.in. The exam shall be conducted through the online remote proctored format. To get accustomed to this format, a mock test shall be organised for candidates on two days – June 26 and 27, 2021. All candidates must appear for this mock test in their selected slots to prevent any last-minute confusion and chaos.
The mock test is a mandatory process which is to be taken using the Safe Exam browser (SEB). Only those candidates who appear for the mock test using SEB shall be permitted to appear for the SRMJEEE 2021 Phase II examination. Hence, they must install SEB beforehand to be on the safer side. Additional instructions regarding the mock test shall be made available on June 25, 2021.
While appearing for the mock test on the allotted dates, the login credentials of candidates shall be captured on the browser. These credentials can be used to login to the portal during the actual exam. In case they are not captured, candidates can refer to their SRMJEEE 2021 Phase II hall tickets for these credentials.
The actual entrance exam is of 150 minutes duration and aspirants are expected to login to the portal 60 minutes before the test to click a picture, verify the ID proof and read the given instructions. Only one question shall be displayed on the portal at each moment and candidates can skip the question if they are clueless about the answer. However, once skipped, aspirants can no longer access that question. Hence, they must maintain utmost vigilance while attempting the question paper.
