Sports Authority of India (SAI) invites applications from young professionals to apply online against 130 vacancies. The position entails the responsibility of assisting, coordinating, managing the implementation of various sports promotional schemes of the body.
Sports Authority of India recruitment 2019 notification was published online today as a document titled “engagement of young professionals on contract basis” on the official website. Simultaneously the online application form has been launched, at sportsauthorityofindia.nic.in.
Last date to apply online is December 20, 2019, 5 pm. Selected candidates will be engaged on a contractual basis for an initial period of 2 years, which could be further extended by a period of 2 years based on performance. All candidates in this position will be given a fixed monthly remuneration of Rs 40,000.

Doing so opens a login form, below which lies the link to register. Using that, candidates need to register and submit their online application forms.
SAI has opened the vacant positions for candidates who are either post graduates with 50% marks, or graduates with at least 3 years of work experience. Age of applicant should not exceed 32 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
For the purpose of selection, the Sports Authority of India will first scrutinize all applications. From those who are found eligible, candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:5 for interview, based on the marks obtained in the essential qualifications. Thus, a total of 650 candidates will be shortlisted for interviews.
Upon joining, where the salary is concerned, TA/DA shall not be admissible for either joining the assignment or for completing it. DA, accommodation, residential phone, conveyance or transport, personal staff, medical reimbursement, HRA, LTC will not be applicable to those who join through this recruitment.
However those who need to go outstation from their place of posting on tour or official duty will be entitled to TA/DA as per rules applicable to officers in the Sports Authority of India of the level of pay matrix level 10.
On the salary, TDS as applicable shall be deducted. The SAI recruitment 2019 notification says in this regard “The Income Tax or any other tax liable to be deducted, as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting the payment, for whcih the SAI will issue TDS Certificates/Service Tax, as applicable”.
Candidates who join in the position will be entitled for 30 days leave in a calendar year on a pro rata basis.

It also looks after the 5 stadia namely Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Dr. Shyam Prasad Mookherjee Swimming Pool Complex, and Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges.
