Southern Railway is inviting applications from eligible and intending candidates to fill up 201 vacancies for various medical and paramedical posts. As per Notification No. T/P. 441/CMP & Paramedical/COVID 19, dated August 06, 2020, the vacancies are available for the Railway Hospital, GOC on a contractual basis. Eligible and interested candidates can forward their applications in the prescribed proforma on or before the specified last date. The last date of receipt of applications via e-mail is August 14, 2020 till 11.59 PM.
As per the recruitment notification, there are 201 vacancies altogether available for various Medical and Paramedical posts. The highest number of vacancies are however available for the post of Housekeeping Assistant (69). In addition, 36 vacancies are available for the post of Contract Medical Practitioner (Doctors). These vacancies are further bifurcated into the 27 vacancies for GDMOs, 03 vacancies for Anesthetists, 03 vacancies for Physicians and 03 vacancies for Chest Physicians. There are 32 vacancies available for the post of Nursing Staff. 10 vacancies each are available for the posts of Pharmacist and Laboratory Assistant respectively. There are 12 vacancies available for the post of Radiographer. In addition, 32 vacancies are also available for the post of Hospital Attendant.
The selection of the candidates is to be done through interview alone. However, before joining, selected candidates have to go through and qualify a medical examination. Selected candidates are to be appointed at the aforementioned posts for a contract period of 03 months. During their tenure of service, CMP post holders are entitled to receive a fixed monthly remuneration of Rs 75000 for GDMOs and Rs 95000 for Specialists. Nursing Staff are entitled to receive Rs 44900 in Level 7. Pharmacists are entitled to receive Rs 29200 in level 5. Lab Assistants are entitled to receive Rs 21700 in Level 3. Radiographers are entitled to receive Rs 29200 in Level 5. Hospital Attendants and Housekeeping Assistants are entitled to receive Rs 18000 in Level 1. All post except CMP are entitled to receive DA and other admissible allowances in addition to the fixed monthly remuneration.
Candidates are encouraged to ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. For the post of CMP and MBBS degree along with registration of the Indian Medical Council is necessary. For the specialist position, candidates need an additional qualification in the relevant field of specialization. The maximum permissible age is 53 years as on August 01, 2020. Candidates who are certified and registered nurses with 03 years GNM or B.Sc. Nursing qualification is eligible to apply for the post of Nursing Staff provided that they are within the age range of 20 to 40 years as on the aforementioned cut off dates for determination of age.
Candidates within the age range of 18 to 33 years who have passed 10+2 in Science stream and have acquired a D. Pharma or B. Pharma qualification are eligible to apply for the post of Pharmacist. Class 12th (Science) passed candidates having DMLT qualification are eligible to apply for the Lab Assistant post given that they are within the age range of 18 to 33 years. 12th (Physics, Chemistry) passed candidates with Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician/Radio Diagnosis technology qualification are eligible to apply for the post of Radiographer provided that they are within the age range of 18 to 33 years. 10th pass candidates are eligible to apply for the posts of Hospital Attendant and House Keeping Assistant given that they are within the age range of 18 to 30 years.
