South East Central Railway is inviting applications to fill up vacancies for the posts of CMP/GDMO and Specialist on a contractual basis. SECR has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the website secr.indianrailways.gov.in. Eligible and intending candidates can send recruitment applications in the prescribed proforma along with scanned copies of necessary supporting documents to [email protected]. The last date of receipt of applications is September 27, 2020.
As per the detailed recruitment notification, 40 contractual vacancies are available for the posts of Contract Medical Practitioner (CMP)/General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) and Specialist. The vacancies are available at the Central Hospital, SECR, Bilaspur. 19 vacancies are available for the post of CMP/GMDO while the rest of the 21 vacancies are available for Specialists. Candidates will be appointed for an initial contract period of 03 months only. Specialists are entitled to a fixed monthly payment of Rs 95000 while GDMO and CMP post holders are entitled to a fixed monthly payment of Rs 75000.
Candidates having an MBBS degree from an Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India are eligible to apply for the post of CMP/GDMO. On the other hand, candidates having an MD Anesthesia/MD Medicine qualification, Chest Physicians, Critical Care Specialist, Pathologist & Microbiologists are eligible to apply for the Specialist positions. Candidates must note that preference will be given to retired railway doctors who are under the jurisdiction of the SECR. Therefore retired railway doctors/GDMOs of government hospitals up to the age of 65 years are eligible to apply. The maximum upper age of the rest of the applicants cannot be more than 53 years as on the date of notification.
Selection of eligible applicants is to be done through interview. The details of the date, time and mode of the interview will be intimated to shortlisted candidates through email id and phone number. Therefore, candidates are advised to be careful in furnishing the correct contact details in the application form. The interview can be held on a daily basis over a period or more than one day depending on the number of applicants. Selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon selection.
