The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has opened its portal for online registrations for the upcoming Olympiads. Schools and students can now register themselves by visiting sofworld.org. As per the official website, the Olympiads are supposed to be held between October 2021 to February 2022.
Online registration can be done by both the schools and the students. Schools can visit sofworld.org and click on Online Registrations 2021-22. The schools can download the registration form from the various links provided under ‘Download Registration Form’. If the school is already registered, then it can use the form to forward the details, student registrations and payments to SOF.
Similarly, if a student wants to register for the SOF Olympiads, then they can follow these steps:
Step 1- Go to the website and click on the ‘Register Now’ button under the ‘Registration By Students’ tab.
Step 2- Enter the various school details like name, address, phone number, principal’s name, school email ID, etc.
Step 3- Fill up the student’s details like name, class, gender, mobile number, email ID, parent’s name, address, etc.
Step 4- In the next stage, the student must select the Olympiad exams that they wish to participate in.
Step 5- Students will now have to select the type of books that they wish to purchase. After that, the total payment will be shown.
Step 6- Click on the ‘Submit’ button and follow the next steps to complete the payments.
The registration fees for all the Olympiads namely NSO, IMO, IGKO, IEO, NCO, ICO and ISSO is Rs 125. Only after successful payments, the acknowledgement for the registration and fees will be sent to the registered email IDs. Further, various guidelines, links for the demo tests, examination schedules will be sent over SMS and/or the registered email IDs. The registration process will continue up to 15 days before the last date of each examination. In this session, the examinations for all the SOF Olympiads will be held online and the students will be able to participate from their homes.
NSO, IMO and IEO have been given three dates while IGKO, NCO, ICO and ISSO will be held over two dates. Date One for all the examinations falls between October 16, 2021 and January 23, 2022. Similarly, Date Two of all the exams ranges between October 30, 2021 and February 06, 2022. Lastly, Date Three for NSO, IMO and IEO falls between December 18, 2021 and January 09, 2022.
For most of the Olympiads, the examination will span over three dates. Based on its convenience, a school may select one date. However, it is important to note that the dates are tentative and may change depending on the impact of the Covid-19 situation on various schools.
The NSO, IMO, IEO and NCO Olympiads are conducted for students from classes 1 to 12. Similarly, IGKO and ISSO are conducted for students from classes 1 to 10 while ICO is conducted for students belonging to classes 11 and 12.
