State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam has released a notification inviting the application from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Inspector of Excise and Excise Constables. Interested candidates can submit their online applications through slprbassam.in to fill up 203 vacancies. The application procedure is going to begin from June 16, 2020, up to July 06, 2020. The date and venue for PET/PST and written examination are conveyed to eligible candidates through SLPRB official website.
The total vacancies are bifurcated between the post of Assistant Inspector of Excise and Excise Constables. Out the total vacancies, 44 vacancies are for Assistant Excise Inspector in which 31 are for male candidates and 13 are for female candidates. For the post of Excise Constables, 159 vacancies are announced out of which 112 are for males and 47 are for female.
The age of interested candidates should not be less than 18 years and not exceed the age limit of 38 years as on January 1, 2020. This means that the candidate must be born on or before January 01, 2002, and on or after January 01, 1982. They must have cleared their 10th standard or its equivalent from the recognised Board or Council. Apart from educational qualification, aspirants shall also fulfil the prescribed medical standard and physical criteria before applying for any of the advertised posts. They must be in good mental and physical health before submitting the form. Male candidates of General, OBC, MOBC, SC category should have a minimum height of 162.56 cm and female candidates should have a height of minimum 154.94 cm. Candidates belonging to ST (P) and ST (H) males must have a minimum height of 160.02 cm and female candidates must be 152.40 cm. Male candidates have to give the measurement of their chest size as well. Candidates of General, OBC, MOBC, SC, ST (P), etc category should be 80 cm when normal and 85 cm when expanded. Male candidates of ST (H) should have the size of their chest 78 cm when normal and 8 cm when expanded.
Candidates shall submit their application form by visiting the official website of the conducting body which is slprbassam.in. They must have an active email address and mobile number before beginning with the application process. Certain documents such as 10th certificate, caste certificate, employment exchange registration card, EWS certificate should be kept beforehand. The preference for the posts shall clearly be mentioned in the form. No application fee is charged for the submission of SLPRB Assistant Inspector of Excise and Excise Constables application form.
The final merit list for SLPRB Assam recruitment is prepared after the commencement of written examination and PET/PST rounds. The written examination is conducted for 100 marks for Assistant Inspector of Excise and 50 marks for Excise Constables. Candidates have to answer 100 multiple-choice questions for both the posts. They are allowed to attempt these questions with the time limit of 03 hours for Assistant Inspector of Excise and 02 hours for Excise Constables. A state merit list is uploaded on the official website of SLPRB for both men and women. The candidates who are able to secure the required cut-off marks are shortlisted for the post of Assistant Inspector of Excise and Excise Constables. These shortlisted candidates are offered the pay scale of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs.49,000/-.
