State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam has released the advertisement to fill up the vacant posts under the Transport Department, Assam. SLPRB, Assam has announced a total of 225 vacancies under Commissionerate of Transport and Directorate of Inland Water Transport. Aspirants who wish to know more about the recruitment can download the notification No. SLPRB/REC/TPT/GD-III/2020/ 221 from slprb.assam.gov.in. Interested candidates can submit their online applications through SLPRB website. The window to submit the online application starts from July 22, 2020. Candidates can submit their online application form before the last date, August 08, 2020.
Applications from only Assam residents are invited for the recruitment. Candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years as on January 01, 2020. A graduate degree is required to apply for the post of Junior Assistant, Assistant Commercial Officer, Stenographer. Those who have passed 12th standard can apply for Assistant Enforcement Inspector, Machinist, Fitter Helper and Electrical Wireman. To apply for Grade IV district level post, candidates must have passed 8th standard.
The candidates who possess required educational qualification can submit their representations for the post online. There is no application fee for SLPRB recruitment 2020. While filling the form, candidates have to enter the preference for the advertised posts. They have to upload scanned image of the photograph, signature, proof of age, certificate and mark sheet for minimum educational qualification, national trade certificate in stenography, diploma certificate in Machinist/Fitter/Electrical Wireman, caste certificate, employment exchange registration card/certificate, EWS certificate. After the application process is over an ID number is generated. This ID number is used to download the call letter, check result so it is advised to keep it safe.
For all the announced posts, SLPRB conducts two test – First Phase Test and Second Phase Test. The first phase test consists of the written test. This written examination is conducted for 100 marks where candidates have to answer 100 MCQs. There is a negative marking of 0.5 marks in the first phase test. After the commencement of the first Phase test, merit list for both male and female candidates is uploaded on the website. The second phase test is a computer-based test to check the knowledge of candidates of the post applied. Candidates also have to carry documents for the verification purpose.
The final selection of the candidates is based on the First Phase and Second Phase Test. For posts such as Stenographer-III, a skill test round is also conducted. Only one merit list/select list for each cadre is prepared which remains valid for 01 years or till the date of the next advertisement is released whichever is earlier.
