State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam invites online applications for the recruitment of Extension Officer (INDS), Economic Investigator Junior Assistant and Stenographer. Total of 131 vacancies is announced for this recruitment. The online application can be submitted from August 17, 2020, onwards. SLPRB invites applications from both male and female candidates. Only permanent resident of Assam is eligible for this recruitment. Candidates intending to apply for Extension officer (Industries) must have 03 years of Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical /Civil/ Computer/Plastic Processing / Food processing / Textile/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Technology. Those who have MCW/ MSW or a degree from a recognized university with advanced proficiency with computer Applications/ Industrial Management are also eligible for this post. To apply for Economic Investigator, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Economics/ Statistics as one of the subjects. A graduate degree in Arts, Science, Commerce is required to apply for Junior Assistant post. Aspirants who possess graduation degree in an any stream and National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam with 80 WPM in English Stenography are eligible to apply for Stenographer Grade -III.
Procedure to fill the online application form is conducted by SLPRB for this recruitment. Aspirants have to browse the official website, slprbassam.in, to get the active link. Before beginning with the application form process, candidates must keep a scanned copy of the photograph, signature, and documents in support of their eligibility ready in a proper format to upload. Candidates have to mark their first, second, third and fourth preference of post while submitting the form.
The selection procedure for these posts includes two phases – First Phase Test and Second Phase Test. The First Phase Test is conducted as a written examination for which the venue will be announced later on. The written test is conducted for 100 marks. Qualifying the first phase allows candidates to appear for the Second Phase Test. A merit list for the same releases on the SLPRB website. The Second Phase Test is a computer-based test to test the knowledge of candidates for the posts they have applied for. For this round, candidates are also asked to submit the testimonials and documents. The final SLPRB recruitment merit list is prepared based on the first phase test and second phase test marks (stenography test also for Stenographer post).
