The State Level Eligibility Test Commission Assam (NE Region) has released the application form for the SLET 2022. Candidates who desire to apply can do so via sletneonline.co.in. Before starting with the application process, one should keep the required documents ready. SLET 2022 will be conducted on February 27, 2022, across the university centres in the northeast. The last date to apply for the test is December 28, 2021, but candidates can deposit the exam fee up to December 31, 2021. Candidates qualifying for SLET 2022 will be eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor in the colleges and universities in the state.
All applications have to be submitted via online mode. Here are the steps that one can follow to submit the SLET 2022 application form.
Step 1- Firstly, go to sletneonline.co.in
Step 2- Scroll down the page and click on ‘Apply Now’ button against the online application category
Step 3- Fill up basic details, examination details and upload photo and signature
Step 4- Select the declaration checkbox and click on ‘Save and Next’
Step 5- Carefully note down the application number
Step 6- Now, download the challan copy and deposit the examination fee in any State Bank of India branch after two days from filling up the application form
Step 7- Similarly, download and take a printout of the application form two days after depositing the application fee.

There is no age limit to apply for the test. Candidates are free to avail any number of chances. In terms of eligibility criteria, the candidates belonging to general, UR, general EWS categories must have secured at least 55% in the Master degree or equivalent examination. The same for SC, ST, PWD and OBC category candidates is 50%.
The category-wise application fee is as follows: General – Rs 1200, OBC (NCL) – Rs 1050, General (EWS) – Rs 1050, SC/ST – Rs 1000 and PED – Rs 800. Those candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for the final qualifying Master degree examination can also apply for the test. There will not be any upper age limit restriction while applying for the post of Assistant Professor.
SLET 2022 will comprise two papers. Both of the papers will have objective-type questions. Paper I will have 50 questions of 100 marks and will intend to assess the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. Paper II of SLET 2022 will cover 100 questions of 200 marks and will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate. Each question will carry 02 marks and there will be no negative marking in the test.
