The State Bank of India has advertised 3850 vacancies for the post of Circle Based Officers. SBI has published a detailed recruitment notification in this regard at the official website i.e. sbi.co.in. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to register and apply online by paying an application fee of Rs 750 (SC/ST & PWD candidates are exempted). The online registration process is commencing today i.e. July 27, 2020. On the other hand, the last date of registration and application is August 16, 2020.
As per the notification, the vacancies are distributed across various circles in different Indian states. In addition, the category-wise bifurcation of vacancies is also indicated. There are 750 vacancies available in the circle of Ahmedabad. 750 vacancies are also available in the circle of Bengaluru. There are 296 vacancies in the circle of Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and 104 vacancies in the circle of Bhopal (Chhattisgarh). 550 vacancies are advertised in the circle of Chennai. In addition, there are 550 vacancies in the circle of Hyderabad. 300 vacancies are available in the circle of Jaipur. 517 vacancies are available in the Circle of Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai) and 33 vacancies are in the circle of Maharashtra (Goa).
Merit list of selected candidates will be drawn category & state wise. Therefore, one candidate can apply for a single state only. As such, selected candidates are to be appointed in the Circle of the state against which they have applied. Candidates will not be able to transfer to another circle till they have reached the position of SMGS-IV Grade or 12 years of service, whichever is later. Candidates are to be selected through shortlisting and interview. The merit lists are to be drawn on the basis of marks secured in the interview. However, the Bank reserves the right to conduct a written exam if needed. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of JMGS-I (Rs 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020). In addition, these candidates will also be entitled to increments and allowances as specified elaborately in the official notice.
Candidates having a Graduate degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the recruitment. The procedure to convert grades into percentage is also elaborated in the detailed notification and concerned candidates are advised to go through the notice before proceeding to apply online. The maximum age of applicants must not be more than 30 years as on August 01, 2020. Applicants must not have been born earlier than August 02, 1990. However, relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable as per norms for candidates belonging to special reserved categories. In addition, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. Applicants must also have studied the local language of the State that they are applying for at the Class 10th or 12th standard.
Eligible candidates have to register at the official website following which, they must pay the registration fee of Rs 750 (applicable for General, EWS and OBC candidates only). The application fee can be paid using debit/credit card or internet banking. A list of documents to be uploaded at the application form is also provided in the official notification and applicants must have the scanned images of these documents ready before starting to fill up the application form. Admit cards issued to eligible applicants must be downloaded by logging in with the registration number and password generated at the registration process.
