SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) Notification 2021 Released at sbi.co.in; Apply Online from Today

State Bank of India has is inviting graduate candidates to apply for recruitment to fill up 5000+ vacancies for Junior Associate post.

State Bank of India has released a latest recruitment notification to fill up more than 5000 vacancies for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales). Interested candidates can check the notification and apply online at the website sbi.co.in. The online application process is starting today i.e. on April 27, 2021. The last date to apply online and pay the application fee is May 17, 2021.

The nationalized bank has published advertisement number CRPD/CR/2021-22/09 at the official website announcing openings in a total of 5237 vacancies which include regular as well as backlog vacancies. The vacancies are available in different circles located across various states of India. All the vacancies are available in the clerical cadre of the State Bank of India. As per the notification, selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of a Preliminary exam and a Main exam. The Preliminary stage exam is set to be conducted in June 2021 while the Main exam is set to be conducted on July 31, 2021. However, to appear in the selection tests, candidates must at first ensure that they are compliant with the minimum conditions of eligibility as laid down by SBI.

One of the most important things to note is that applicants must be proficient in the local language of the State/UT/Special area opted for recruitment to. Applicants cannot be less than 20 years of age or more than 28 years of age as on April 01, 2021 in order to apply for the recruitment. Candidates belonging to special reserved categories are entitled to avail relaxations on the upper age limit as per government norms in vogue.

Applicants must have a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution. Those who have Integrated Dual Degree must ensure that they have passed the course on or before the specified cut off date for educational qualification i.e. August 16, 2021. Those who are appearing in the final year exam this year are also eligible to apply provided that they produce proof of passing the exam on or before the specified cut off date as indicated here in this paragraph above.

As stated before, the selection process consist of a Prelims exam, a Main exam and a test of the opted local language. The Prelims exam is an objective test of 100 marks which is conducted online. A question paper carrying 100 questions based on English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning is to be solved in the Prelims exam in a duration of 1 hour. There is no minimum qualifying marks although the Bank will shortlist adequate number of candidates to appear in the Main exam.

The Main exam is also conducted online based on the topics of General Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Analysis. Similar to the Prelims, in Main exam will also consist of objective type questions. In both the tests, negative marking of 1/4 marks will be applicable. Candidates qualifying through the Main are to be placed in State-wise, Category-wise merit lists. Qualifiers have to appear in a local language test except for hose who can produce evidence of studying local language in 10th/12th. Final selection is subject to verification of eligibility and qualifying in the local language test.

General/OBC/EWS candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 750 to apply while SC/ST/PWD/XS/DXS candidates are exempted from the payment of fee. Candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before proceeding to apply online.
