Through an official notification released by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) it has been notified that the RRB JE 2019 Result for CBT stage 1 will be released shortly. The officials have not specified any date as to when the result for Stage 1 CBT can be expected, however, it has been mentioned in the notice that ” The results for the 1st Stage-CBT are under finalisation and list of candidates shortlisted for 2nd Stage-CBT will be published shortly.”
The Stage 1 CBT was conducted from May 22, 2019 onwards. To check the RRB JE 2019 Result, the candidates have to visit the official website of their respective RRB zone. On the homepage of the website, click on the relevant link for checking the result for CEN 03/2018 (JE, DMS & CMA Posts). In the next screen, the list of candidates who qualify for the RRB JE 2nd stage CBT is released in the pdf format. The candidates will be able to check their score in the Stage 1 CBT at the Candidate login using their user id and date of birth.
Furthermore, it is expected that the Board shall conduct the 2nd Stage CBT during the last week of August/ 01st week of September 2019.The shortlisting of 2nd Stage CBT will be based on the merit of the candidates in 1st Stage CBT.
2nd stage CBT will be of 120 minutes (160 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with Scribe). The test will consist of 150 MCQ type questions and are likely to include questions pertaining
to General Awareness, Physics and Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control and Technical abilities for the post.
In order to qualify for Stage 1 CBT, the candidates need to obtain 40% in case of candidates belonging to UR category, 30% for OBC, 30% for SC, 25% for ST. There is a relaxation of 2% in the minimum qualifying marks for PwBD candidates.
Recently, the board added 74 vacancies in RRB Kolkata Division and cancelled 23 vacancies of Junior Engineer (JE) under Printing Press Department of Chennai (SR), Mumbai (CR) and Secunderabad (SCR) Zones. Hence, the total number of vacancies has been increased up to 13538 from 13487 for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) after calculating the revised vacancy numbers announced by RRB.
