Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have published the final / revised / modified answer key of RRB JE CBT 2 2019 today. Whereas the notification was released in the morning, the link to view modified keys is available from 3 pm. Those who had appeared in the second stage computer based test can now login with their roll number and date of birth to check revised answers.
Last date to view the revised and final RRB JE CBT 2 answer key is October 12, 2019.
The prerequisites for checking the answer keys are (1) any device like computer, laptop, mobile phone (2) web browser in the device (3) internet connection (4) knowledge of your registration number (5) and date of birth.
With these in hand, one has to go to any of the official websites of the RRBs – Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Jammu, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Trivandrum.
Then click in the link “CEN NO. 03/2018 (JE, DMS & CMA Posts) Click here to view Modified key and decisions taken on the objections raised on the Questions/Keys of 2nd Stage Computer Based Test”. On the next page, click “Final Modified keys for Stage 2”.
On the same page, link for forgot registration number has been provided. Candidates who have forgotten the registration number can get them by name, or email ID.
Then login with registration number and date of birth. Once you log in, you can see a link to view the question paper and responses, click it. This opens the final question paper and answer key.
If the page shows “Modified keys can be viewed from 15:00hrs on 10-10-2019”, hit the refresh button and try again.
Answers displayed today are final. There is no option to challenge the final / revised / modified answer keys. Result for RRB JE CBT 2 will be announced on the basis of this answer set only.
The question that arises next is, when will RRB JE CBT 2 result be announced. As to that, a fixed date has not been announced yet. However going by the announcements of RRB JE CBT 1 result (which was announced 20 days after modified answers were published), and RRB ALP CBT 2 result (that was published 14 days after the final answers), it is expected that result could be announced any time between October 24 to October 30, 2019.
Candidates can already predict their scores today, by looking at their final questions and answers. The marking scheme of RRB JE CBT 2 is that one mark is awarded for correct answer and ⅓ mark is deducted for incorrect answer.
The qualifying marks set for RRB JE CBT 2 is 40% for unreserved candidates, 30% for OBC, 30% for SC, and 25% for ST. Candidates who obtain the said score will be considered for merit. However cut off will be applied to ultimately decide who will be called for document verification and who will not.
A total of 32,05,098 candidates had applied for CEN 03/2018, whereas 24,92,554 had appeared in CBT 1 against 13,487 vacancies. Whereas 2,02,616 were called for the CBT 2. Recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) is on the basis of this recruitment.
