RRB Group D Document Verification Starts in 1st Week of April; Process for Medical Exam Out

Ministry of Railway has released a notice for RRB Group D Document Verification 2018-2019. As per it, the Document Verification for Railway Group D Recruitment (CEN 02/2018) will begin in the 1st week of April 2019. The verification of documents will be done in slots of 100 to 150 candidates per days and is likely to get over in 3 to 4 weeks, for each zone of Railway. Each candidate who will qualify the Document Verification will be called for the medical examination.

The RRB Group D verification of documents is an important stage for the candidates. In this round, Indian Railway will check if the candidates is eligible or not. To do so, certain documents of the candidates will be checked and verified. The candidates have to produce following documents for verification: Class 10 Certificates, Minority / Category Certificate (if applicable), Income Certificate, Discharge Certificate for Ex-Servicemen, a copy of Aadhaar Card, Medical Certificate if PwD, NOC by the employer if applicable, Domicile Certificate, Payment Slip, Gazette Notification, Death certificate of Spouse for Widow, Degree of divorce, etc.

The RRB Group D medical examination will be done by Railway Board Health Directorate, right after the end of RRB Group D Document Verification. For this, PCPO’s will coordinate with PCMDs. In the notice, the process to conduct medical has also been defined. In each zone of railway minimum of 3 places / hospitals will be defined for medical examination. The number may vary as per the requirement Doctors, nurses, staff, and equipments will be provided under special arrangement. Every medical examination center will function for 6 days a week.

Other than this, it has been specified that 1 doctor is to conduct only 20 medical examinations per day. Only the assigned doctor has the authority to state if the candidate is medically fit or not and to do so, they need to certify the candidate under their name and signature.

However, if more than 1 doctor is nominated for a particular day then the physical and vision exam shall be conducted shift wise. Hence, during the morning, one doctor will hold the vision test and another one will hold the physical test. In the afternoon, the shifts of the doctors will be reversed.

RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 is open for 62907 vacancies for the helper, cook, assistant pointsman, keyman, gateman, porter, etc. The candidates will be recruited under 7th CPC pay matrix and get a pay of Rs. 18000. Above this, the candidates will also receive extra allowances.
