RPSC RAS Mains Syllabus 2021 Released at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in, with Exam Pattern and Scheme

As per the RPSC RAS 2021 exam pattern, the level of the questions asked in General Hindi and General English shall be equivalent to class 10+2.

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the RPSC RAS (Rajasthan Administrative Services) Mains exam pattern and syllabus on the official website, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. The commission has also notified the paper-wise marking scheme for the aforesaid exam in detail. Candidates can check out the syllabus and exam pattern of RPSC RAS Mains 2021 and download the same to prepare for the examination.

RPSC RAS Preliminary examination was held on October 27 and the result for the same was released on November 19, 2021. According to the result for pre-exam, 20102 candidates have qualified for the examination and are going to appear for the Mains exam. As of now, the exact dates of the RPSC RAS Mains 2021 exam have not been declared by the commission but the announcement is expected soon. The commission has announced 988 vacancies out of which 363 vacancies were released for Administrative services.

Coming to the RPSC RAS Mains exam pattern, there shall be four papers i.e. General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, and General Hindi and General English. Each paper will account for 200 marks and will be held for a duration of 3 hours. The notice also suggests that the level of the question in the last paper i.e. Hindi and English will be equivalent to the 10+2.

General Studies Paper 1 will have three sections i.e. A, B, and C, part A will account for 25 questions, parts B and C will have 16 and 7 questions. Similarly, the question number in all three sections for paper 2 will be 15 questions, 14 questions, and 10 questions. For paper 3, section A will have 25 questions, sections B and C will have 16 and 7 questions.

The markings scheme for each section will be 02, 05, and 10 marks for sections A, B, and C for all three papers respectively. Further, the word limit for questions asked in part A will be 15 words, part B, 50 words, and part C will have questions for 100 words. RPSC RAS Paper 4 will also have three sections i.e. parts A, B, and C each accounting for 70, 80, and 50 marks respectively.

Candidates who successfully qualify for the RPSC RAS Mains exam shall be called for the interview round. The final merit list for the successful students will be released by combining the marks scored in RPSC Mains and Interview round.
