The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has announced RPF SI and Constable Exam Date 2018 for Stage 1 CBT. The computer based test will begin from December 19, 2018, onwards. The complete schedule of the CBT will be announced after the issuance of roll number, which will be e-mailed to the candidates on November 16, 2018.
The roll number of RPF is crucial and will only be issued to those candidates who filled and submitted the application form in all the aspects. The Central Recruitment Committee for SI and Constable will allot roll number via e-mail only, at the registered e-mail id. Candidates will need the roll number at various stages of recruitment. Hence, it is important to keep it safe.
The Computer-based test will be conducted group-wise simultaneously for Constable and SI for all 6 groups one by one in the order –
1. Group E: NF Railway
2. Group F: RPSF
3. Group A: S Railway, SW Railway and SC Railway
4. Group B: C Railway, W Railway, WC Railway and SEC Railway
5. Group C: E Railway, EC Railway, SE Railway and ECo Railway
6. Group D: N Railway, NE Railway, NW Railway and NC Railway
Furthermore, the candidates will be able to download the RPF admit card to appear for the Computer-based test from December 09, 2018. The admit card will be issued online. To download it, the candidates need to log in by entering the necessary details. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the print out of the Admit Card on the day of the Computer-based test which is scheduled to be held on December 19, 2018.
The registered candidates will be informed about the CBT exam date, test center, timing with detail instructions at the registered email id. Also, as per the official RPF Recruitment 2018 exam date notice, the candidates will be allotted the test center within 200 km of their home district for their convenience.
The RPF SI and Constable Computer-based test is of 90 minutes duration and the test will consist of 120 MCQ type questions. The standard of the examination will be 10th/Matric level. For the CBT, the candidates need to prepare topics such as General Awareness (50 marks), Arithmetic (35 marks), General Intelligence & reasoning (35 marks). For every correct answer, the candidate will get 01 marks, and there is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer.
There are about a total of 8619 number of vacancies for the post of Constable and 1120 number of vacancies in SIs. To qualify the Computer-based, one needs to obtain at least 35% marks. However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST category, they need to obtain at least 30% marks.
The qualifiers of the Computer-based test will then be eligible to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV). There shall be a maximum of two rounds of PET/PMT.
Those who will successfully pass all the stages of the recruitment process will be given Level 3 of 7th CPC pay Matrix with initial pay of Rs. 21,700/- plus other allowances admissible at that time. We hope this was helpful. If you have any questions or queries, do comment below.
