Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Mumbai has issued a latest recruitment notification to fill up 3591 apprentice vacancies under Western Railways. Online registrations for the recruitment are scheduled to commence on May 25, 2021, from 11.00 AM. The last date to apply online is June 24, 2021 toll 05.00 PM. Interested candidates have to apply online after carefully reading the notification on rrc-wr.com.
The vacancies are available under various designated ITI trades as indicated in the official recruitment notice. Available trades include Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter, Mechanic (DSL & Motor Vehicle), PSAA, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, Pipe-Fitter, Plumber, Draftsman (Civil) and Stenographer (English). Selected candidates are entitled to stipend as per the prescribed rate during the training period of 1 year.
Candidates within the age range of 15 to 24 years are eligible to apply for this apprentice engagement. Candidates belonging to special reserved categories are eligible for relaxation on the upper age limit as per specifications laid down in the official notification. Furthermore, applicants must have passed Class 10 exam as per the 10+2 system of education in India by securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. In addition, applicants must have complete ITI certificate course from any NCVT/SCVT recognized ITI institute in the prescribed ITI trades in order to apply for this recruitment.
It may be noted that result awaited candidates are not eligible to apply for this recruitment. In addition, candidates who have failed in ITI course are not eligible to apply. Candidates within higher qualification such as Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for the apprentice engagement.
Indian Railways RRC (Mumbai) will not conduct any selection test or interview for shortlisting of applicants. Shortlisting will be done on the basis of the merit in the Class 10th exam and ITI certificate exam taken together. Both these criteria carry equal marks weightage in the context of selection for the test.
Interested and eligible candidates have to apply online at the above-stated website as per schedule on or before the last date. The application form available online at the specified website must be filled up carefully and submitted on or before the last date. Candidates have to pay a fee f Rs 100 as an application fee for this recruitment. The fee is non-refundable and the payment can be made through the payment gateway available on the website. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD categories and all-female candidates are exempted from the payment of any application fee.
