PSTET Answer Key 2021 Will Be Issued Today After 4 Days Delay; New Dates Announced for Grievances, Result

As per the revised timetable, the final answer key for PSTET 2021 will be issued on January 17, 2022.

The Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) is all set to release the official answer keys for the Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2021 today, i.e. January 04, 2022. As and when the answer keys are released, candidates will be able to check them from the official website – pstet.pseb.ac.in. According to the notification that has been released on the website, candidates will be able to submit grievances up to January 07, 2022.

However, for submitting grievances, candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay a fixed fee of Rs 450 for each question. Similarly, reserved category candidates must pay Rs 300 per question to submit any grievances. In case the grievance turns out to be correct, then the fee will be refunded accordingly. After receiving the grievances, the board will verify them and provide a decision between January 08 and 16, 2022.

Based on whatever decision is taken, the final answer key will be uploaded on January 17, 2022. After that, the result will be compiled between January 18 and 20, 2022. The PSTET results 2021 will subsequently be declared on January 24, 2022.

PSTET 2021 Revised Schedule

PSTET 2021 comprises two papers. For both papers, the total number of questions is 150 and the total marks accounting for them is 150. Accordingly, for each question, 01 mark is allotted. There is no negative marking in the exam. Using this marking scheme, candidates will be able to calculate a tentative score.

Qualifying Criteria

A candidate will qualify for PSTET 2021 after they meet the qualifying criteria as laid down by the board. For the general category, the qualifying percentage or the minimum marks is 60%. On the other hand, the same for SC, ST and OBC categories is 55%. As such, the category-wise cut-off marks stand as:

After qualifying for PSTET 2021, the candidates will be issued an eligibility certificate that will be required to teach in the schools in Punjab. This certificate will hold lifetime validity. This state-level exam is conducted every. The selection is based on the teaching aptitude of the candidates from classes 1 to 8. Both results and answer keys have to be downloaded online and from the official website.
