The PGIMER Chandigarh conducted the entrance examination for the MD/MS course for Jan session on November 25, 2018. The result of PGIMER MD/MS 2019 is going to be announced today. It will be available for check online at the official website of the Institute. As of now, the official website is not working, hence, it is expected that it can be announced anytime soon now.
The candidates can check their result for PGIMER MD/MS Jan 2019 online at the website, pgimer.edu.in. On the homepage of the website, under the Important Announcement section, find the relevant link for checking the PGIMER MD/MS Result 2019. On clicking the link, the candidates will be directed to the login page for checking the result. Log in by entering details like Application Number and Password. Click on the Submit button and then finally after checking the PGIMER Result, download and save it for future reference.
To qualify the test, the exam conducting body has set a cut off percentile which one need to obtain. For the Open (General) and Sponsored/Deputed candidates, the cut off percentile is 55th percentile, the OBC, OPH, SC/ST, Rural Area, Foreign Nationals have to obtain 50th percentile, and the Bhutanese Nationals, the cut off percentile is 45.
On the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination, a merit list is then prepared. Three type of merit list will be published for PGIMER MD/MS Jan 2019 – an Overall merit list, category wise list; combined General Category merit list of all the candidates will also be prepared.
Other than the PGIMER 2019, there will no clinical or practical examination for MD/MS course. The candidates will be shortlisted for admission solely on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance examination.
Those candidates whose name will be included in the merit will then have to appear for the PGIMER MD/MS 2019 Counselling. The number of candidates to be called for 1st counseling will be three times the total number of seats to be filled for each category of candidates. The shortlisted candidates need to be physically present for the PGIMER 2019 Counselling. A candidate who is absent at the time of counseling will not be considered for admission.
At the time of PGIMER 2019 Counselling/ joining the Institute, the candidates need to carry the relevant documents in proof of Date of Birth, reservation, academic qualifications, etc. Medical fitness is a pre-condition for admission to the course of the Institute. Selected candidates (except foreign national and sponsored) will be medically examined by a Medical Board constituted by the Institute for the purpose.
