Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India Limited (ONGC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies for the post of Doctors-Emergency/General Duty. ONGC has published an official recruitment notice in this regard at the website ongcindia.com. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for recruitment to the contractual vacancies through the website for recruitment to the aforementioned posts. The registration process has commenced today i.e. from August 12, 2020. The last day to register online is September 10, 2020. Candidates can email their documents after registration till September 11, 2020.
As per the official recruitment notification, 23 vacancies are available for the post of Contract Medical Officer (CMO) in different departments. There are 08 vacancies for Emergency Duty (EMO), 04 vacancies for GDMO, 01 vacancies for Occupational Health (OH) and 04 vacancies for Field Duty, 01 vacancy each is available for Homeopathy, Gynaecology, Radiology, Surgery, Anesthesia, and Physician (Part-Time). Selected candidates are entitled to receive a fixed monthly payment. Candidates appointed to the post of CMP (Gynaecology, Radiology, Surgery and Anesthesia) are entitled to receive the highest amount of Rs 1,00,000 per month. Part-Time Physician post holders and CMO (Homoeopathy) post holders are entitled to a monthly payment of Rs 55000 per month. Candidates can check the complete details from the recruitment notification. However, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility conditions in order to apply. An MBBS degree is required to apply for the posts of EMO, GDMO, OH and Field Duty. Candidates having a BHMS degree can apply for the post of CMP (Homeopathy). For all the other posts, applicants must have a relevant MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma qualification in a relevant field in order to apply. There is no upper age limit.
Selection of the eligible candidates is to be done on the basis of qualification and selection interview. Out of the total 100 marks weightage, 70 marks are allocated to qualification out of which, 60 marks are allocated for having the essential qualifications while 10 marks are allocated for any relevant higher qualification. On the other hand, 30 marks are allocated to the interview. Candidates can check the detailed break up of marks from the official notification. Those who qualify in the interview are shortlisted for empanelment in the final merit lists. However, the final appointment is also subjected to passing the medical tests of the company.
Eligible candidates can apply for up to 04 posts. The engagement will be done on a contractual basis and termination of candidates can be done at any time with one month’s prior notice. Following the completion of the initial one year’s contractual employment candidates can avail annual increments at the rate of Rs 1300 for Specialists with PG Degree and Rs 1000 for Doctors.
