Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) issued a public notice today, May 14, 2021, announcing the extension of registration deadline for the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2021. The notice was published on the official website ojee.nic.in. According to the notice, the last date to submit the online application form has been extended to June 15, 2021. Thereafter, the deadline to pay the application fee has been extended to June 16, 2021.
Candidates have been given an extra month to register for the OJEE 2021 examination.

The Odisha government has imposed a lockdown in the state due to prevailing COVID-19 conditions. Amid these circumstances, candidates are facing many hurdles in registering for the entrance test. Acknowledging this, OJEEB authorities extended the registration deadline. Invariably, the OJEE 2021 exam date has been postponed. Furthermore, admit card release date has also been rescheduled.
According to the issued notice, a detailed schedule containing the revised dates shall be released on the official website in due course. The new dates shall be decided post June 15, 2021, after carrying out an assessment of the impending situation. The notice further instructed candidates to not be worried and abide by all safety guidelines issued by the state government. They are also instructed to visit the official website ojee.nic.in consistently for future updates.
Previously, the OJEE 2021 examination was scheduled to be conducted from June 17 to 24, 2021. Last date to register for the same was May 15, 2021. Subsequently, authorities were going to release the admit cards by first week of June 2021. After conducting the exam, results were to be released by first week of July 2021. However, due to the extension of registration deadline, the exam schedule has also been pushed forward.
OJEE 2021 paper pattern shall be different for different streams. However, the marking scheme for each question is more or less the same. The question paper shall contain multiple-choice question with each question having four options. Out of the four options, only one shall be the correct answer. Candidate is required to select the correct option on the computer.
During the OJEE 2021 exam, candidate shall be allowed to revisit or change the answer during the test duration. However, after the exam, no candidate shall be allowed to change his/her answers. The last selected option shall be considered for the evaluation process. Each correct answer shall be allotted 4 marks while zero marks shall be given to unmarked questions. One mark shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
In case an applicant has not marked any answers in the question paper, his/her candidature shall be automatically rejected. Furthermore, no rank shall be awarded to such candidates while curating the final merit list.
