Odisha Government has released the tentative exam dates for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2019 on November 01, 2018. The exam date has been announced by OJEE Chairman, Sudip Kumar Chand after the meeting of Policy Planning Board. The exam will conduct two times for the admission in the year 2019. The first exam will conduct on May 12, 2019, whereas the second exam known as Special OJEE will take place on July 21, 2019.
Special OJEE takes place to fill the vacant seats in a programme. The test will conduct after the completion of counselling process of the first OJEE exam.
OJEE entrance exam takes place for admission to graduation courses like B. Tech & B. Pharmacy via lateral entry and for postgraduate courses like MBA, MCA,(lateral) M. Pharmacy, M. Tech, M. Plan and Integrated MBA. Candidates interested in any of these programmes can register at odishajee.com.
As reported in various newspapers, the registration for OJEE 2019 is likely to start from the last week of January 2019. Students can register for the exam until March 25, 2019. Though candidates can take the print out of confirmation letter until March 30, 2019.
The admit card for all the courses will release on April 20, 2019, on the official website of OJEE. The exam conducting releases the admit card online only. Candidates can download the hall ticket after entering the registration details such as application number and password.
Post Graduate exams may conduct in online mode from OJEE 2019.
Until last year, OJEE used to take place in offline mode or as Pen & Paper-Based Test. Now as per news reports of state government, the entrance examination may conduct online from this year. The plans to conduct web-based exams are still in discussion, any confirmation regarding this will get updated on the official website. The online exam will most probably take place for postgraduate courses like MBA, MCA, Lateral entry to M. Tech, MCA, M. Plan, and M. Arch.

The exam pattern and syllabus for the examination vary according to the different courses. Since exam dates have been available, candidates can start preparing for the exam accordingly. After the result, final admission takes place according to the counselling round conducted by OJEE. The list of colleges accepting OJEE scores with the number of seats will be released in the respective information brochure of the programmes later.

The body aims at conducting the exam in the fair and transparent manner. The body is also responsible to conduct the exam counselling to fill the seats offered by private and public institutes of Odisha.
