Oil India Limited, also known as OIL is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up 05 latest vacancies. The vacancies are for the post of Engineer. OIL has issued a latest recruitment notification in this regard. The vacancies are to be filled up on a contractual basis. The contractual vacancies advertised by Oil India Limited are available in the Projects Department, FHQ, Duliajan, Assam. There are 02 vacancies available in each of the disciplines of Mechanical and Instrumentation Engineer. In addition, 01 vacancy is also available for the post of Electrical Engineer. Appointment to the posts is to be done on a temporary basis for a period of 6 months. It is extendable by another 6 months for an overall employment tenure of 1 year.
The fixed monthly salary for all posts is Rs 45000. In addition, local conveyance is to be paid at the rate of Rs 6000 per month. Engineers are also entitled to receive mobile/telephone allowances up to a maximum amount of Rs 1750 per month for official communication purposes. For outstation duties, candidates are also entitled to receive allowance of Rs 250 per day of outstation duty.

Applicants must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria laid down by Oil India Limited for recruitment to the posts. Only those candidates, who are within the maximum age of 65 years as on the date of interview are eligible to apply. No relaxation is applicable in this regard. Applicants must be holding a Graduate Degree in Engineering in respective discipline from an AICTE/UGC approved institute. In addition, 03 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry is required to apply for this recruitment.
Oil India Limited is going to conduct Online Personal Interview for the selection of the eligible applicants. The interview carries a total of 100 marks. Candidates have to secure at least 50 marks in the interview in order to get shortlisted for final appointment. No relaxation is given in this regard for any candidate. Personal interview is based on Professional Knowledge & Skills of the candidate in the concerned engineering & allied disciplines as well as Personal Attributes and Soft Skills.
The date and time of the interview is to be intimated only to the shortlisted applicants through their email ID. The mode of the interview is also going to be confirmed by OIL to shortlisted candidates. Interview may be conducted using any online video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom Call, Webex etc. It may be noted that at the time of joining, candidates have to produce original documents for verification. During the employment tenure of 06 months, candidates are allowed to avail 10 paid leaves.
