NTSE Admit Card 2019 Haryana available at scertharyana.gov.in; Know how to download

NTSE Admit Card 2019 Haryana

Students from State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Haryana is conducting the NTSE 2019 level 1, also known as HSTSE. Students who have applied for the exam can download the NTSE admit card at scertharyana.gov.in.

To do so, applicants need to visit the website and click “NTSE L-1 Exam 2019-20” tab under home information section on the left side of the website. Then select “Download Admit Card of NTSE Level -1 Exam” link provided in red. Finally log in with either reference number or name and date of birth.

SCERT Haryana will conduct the NTSE 2019 level 1 exam on November 3, 2019. Then the council will shortlist students for national level NTSE level 2 exam on the basis of result of this exam. NCERT will conduct NTSE 2019-2020 level 2 on May 10, 2020 on national level. Through NTSE 2019-2020, NCERT will award scholarship to a total of 2000 students in India, of which, 186 will be from Haryana.

Students need to carry their downloaded admit card, printed on A4 size sheet to the exam center.

The stage 1 of NTSE exam will have two papers. Paper one will be Mental Ability Test or MAT, and the second one will be Scholastic Ability Test or SAT. The latter will have questions from the field of science, mathematics and social science. Both the papers will be of 100 marks each carrying 100 questions respectively. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete one paper and another 120 minutes for another paper. 

All the questions in the paper will be multiple choice type, against which, students have to fill in the correct option in the OMR sheet provided during the examination. In NTSE level 1, there will not be any negative marking. The medium of examination will be english as well as hindi. 

To qualify for the examination, candidates have to attain qualifying marks in each individual paper. Candidates belonging to general, OBC, EWS category should get 40%, and SC, ST category candidates need to get 32% in each paper. The responsibility of conducting NTSE level 1, and declaring results, is on SCERT Haryana only. The same applies to respective bodies in each state. The council will announce NTSE level 1 / HSTSE results in months of January or February 2020 at scertharyana.gov.in. 

Qualifiers of stage 1 examination appears for stage 2 examination which is scheduled for May 10,2020 and will be conducted nationally by NCERT. There will be no negative marking in the paper and it also carries 2 sections: MAT and SAT having 100 MCQs questions each of 100 marks. 

NTSE scheme was launched in 1963, back when it was known as NSTSS, by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to identify and support talented young students in the nation and encourage them to pursue science and social science upto doctoral level. For this purpose they provide scholarships to the candidates at different level. Some for school, some for college level and others for Ph.D level. The number of scholarships has been increased to 2000 this year
