National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has released the interview schedule for Engineering Executive Trainee. Candidates can check the date and time for the Group discussion and interview for different engineering disciplines from ntpccareers.net. The Group discussion for NTPC EET recruitment through GATE 2020 starts from August 10, 2020, onwards. NTPC EET interview will commence from August 14, 2020 onwards.
The group discussion round for Electrical starts from August 10, 2020, to August 14, 2020. Selected candidates are called for the interview round that starts from August 21, 2020, and will be conducted till September 03, 2020. For the Electronics department, the group discussion will be conducted from August 17, 2020, and August 18, 2020. Hereafter, candidates have to be present for the interview from August 21, 2020, to August 26, 2020. Candidates who have applied for Instrumentation must note that their group discussion round will be conducted on August 19, 2020, and August 20, 2020. Those who are found eligible have to report for an interview which is conducted from August 27, 2020, to September 01, 2020. The GD round for Mechanical department is scheduled from August 10, 2020, to August 19, 2020. The interview round for the qualifying candidates will be conducted from August 14, 2020, to September 04, 2020.

Candidates will be competing for the 100 vacant posts of Engineering Executive Trainee (EET). Out of these, 30 vacancies are announced for the Electrical department, 45 vacancies for Mechanical Department and 25 vacancies for Electrical/ Instrumentation Department. Candidates who have appeared in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – 2020 are eligible. Based on the mark obtained by candidates in their GATE-2020 examination they are shortlisted for Group Discussion and Interview. Out of the total weightage, 85% marks are allocated to the GATE 2020 marks followed by 05% marks of Group discussion and 10% marks of Interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the GATE 2020 marks, Group discussion and interview round.
After the final selected candidates have to undergo a one year training which will be held at a different place across India. Once the procedure for final joining is completed, candidates are allocated with the region and final place of posting. The newly appointed candidates are recruited in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000. However, during their training, they will receive basic pay of Rs. 50,000 each month.
