In this hustle and bustle, the students have various questions and queries in their minds. The HRD Minister, Mr Prakash Javadekar had finished the suspense yesterday about NTA and UGC NET.
Form now onwards, NTA has taken the charge to conduct NET exam on the behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission). NTA will be conducted in the month of December 2018. Earlier, CBSE used to conduct this exam but from the December 2018 session, NTA will take this responsibility.
According to the press release, the submission of the application forms for the UGC NET 2018 December session will start from September 01 to September 30, 2018. What is NTA?
The National Testing Academy is an autonomous and self-sustained organization. It is now the conducting body of UGC NET, NEET, JEE, CMAT & GPAT.
According to the HRD Minister, NTA will bring the changes in the history of the entrance examinations. There will be some changes to these exams and some customs will be the same.
Change or No Change?
Before the press conference, the students were baffled about questions, exam pattern, languages of the questions etc. But in the press conference, Mr Prakash Javadekar had cleared that there will be no changes in the fees, the pattern of the exams, language of the question paper, and syllabus.
Now, UGC NET will be held online. This initiative will help in the conduction of the exam and in the release of the results. It will increase the transpatrency among the students and will be leak proof.
The exams will be conducted for 4 or 5 days rather than just only one day. So, it will be convenient for the students.
centres for Practice
NTA will establish a network of the centres. So that, the students who do not have the facility of the computers or any other gadget for the preparation and practics will be able to do so. This facility will be provided to the students of the rural areas so that everyone will get the opportunity to practice the questions. However, the minister had made clear that these computer centres will be free from any kind of fee or charge.
