National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to hold another national level entrance examination, ICAR AIEEA UG 2020. The examination starts tomorrow, at September 16 and will also be held on September 17 and 22, 2020. NTA as well as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has issued guidelines for the conducting all the entrance exams. The same was followed in JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 exams as well and is also applicable for ICAR AIEEA, so that the exam can be held safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, with the UG entrance exam first inline to be held from tomorrow, here are the SOPs, exam day guidelines and dress code to take care of at the exam center:

A) Generic preventive measures: Students, parents and the functionaries must take care of social distancing. The physical distancing of at least 6 feet to be followed as far as feasible. Face masks must be put on at all times. Respiratory etiquette to be strictly followed like coughing and sneezing with mouths covered. No one must spit here and there at and near the exam center. Also, the installation & use of the Aarogya Setu App is advisable to all.

B) Reporting the exam centers: The candidates will be allotted reporting time at the exam center. The reporting will be done in slots so that the crowd does not gather outside the exam center. The candidates must reach the exam center as per the allotted slot for reporting at the exam center.

C) Students belonging to containment zones or are having COVID-19 symptoms: The candidates having COVID-19 symptoms are to be isolated at rooms designated at the exam centers. Also, candidates who are from containment zones will not be allowed at the exam center. Such candidates must be allowed to take the exam later on through other means as the authorities decide.

D) Self Declaration: Exam functionaries have to submit self-declaration about health status at the time of entrance to the examination center. For NTA held examinations like ICAR the self-declaration form is issued with the admit card, that the candidates have to fill and submit at the exam hall.

E) Entry and exit to the examination center: At the entry, candidates will have to sanitise the hand and go through thermal check-up. All candidates will be given fresh masks that they have to replace with their used ones. All students will have to enter the exam center in a queue following 6 feet distance between them. Barred items will have to be kept out of the exam center gate at own risks of the candidates. No physical frisking will be done at the exam center. On completion of the exam, candidates have to exit the center in an orderly manner following social distancing norms.

F) Seating arrangements: The per room capacity at the exam center must be restricted. For example in NEET 2020, per room had 12 students and 2 invigilators and no more. All candidates will be seated at gaps enough to follow the social distancing guidelines.

On the day of the exam candidates have to also follow these additional guidelines as per NTA:

Candidates will not be allowed inside the exam center once the gates are closed. Further, candidates need to carry the admit card, a self-declaration as issued with the admit card, masks, gloves, hand sanitisers, transparent water bottle, PwD certificate, and scribe related documents. All debarred items must be placed outside the exam center.

For the dress code of ICAR AIEEA, NTA has not specified anything in particular. However, candidates must wear simple clothing with fewer pockets and no embellishments. Avoid belts and metallic items. Avoid wearing any jewelry.

NTA will also hold ICAR PG entrance exam and the JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) 2020 on September 23, 2020. The same shall also be followed for higher level entrance exams too.
