NTA Conducting JEE Main 2019 On Weekdays Too?; Candidates Have Been Allotted Dates At nta.ac.in

National Testing Agency (NTA) has now activated the link using which the applicants of JEE Main 2019 can now check their allotted exam date, time and shift. Earlier, it was confirmed via an official circular that JEE Main 2019 will be conducted on weekends (Saturdays/Sundays) falling between January 06 – 20, 2019. But now as per the candidates, the dates that are being allotted are not just the weekends but weekdays are also being allotted.

Until now candidates have reported these dates – January 7, 9 , 10, 11, 12. Going by this, it is clear that the exams are being conducted in the weekdays too. Below are the few screenshots from the social media website where the candidates are discussing their allotted dates and shifts:

Now what might be the reason that NTA inspite of declaring that the exam dates will be falling on weekends is now allotting the weekdays too for examination. Let us see.

Reasons For NTA conducting exams on weekdays

Well, the few reasons for this which can be assumed are  – first, NTA is conducting the examination for the first time, thus there may be fluctuations in decisions. And secondly, NTA didn’t expect that they will receive this many applications for the JEE Main 2019 January exam. Thus, we can say this might be one of the reasons to conduct JEE Main 2019 January exam on weekdays too, to accommodate all the candidates.

Candidates can check their allotted exam date, shift and timings by visiting the official website of NTA, nta.ac.in and thereafter they need to enter their application number. After doing that, their exam date, shift and time will appear on the screen.

National Testing Agency is conducting JEE Main 2019 twice a year and in online mode only for the first time. Thus some unexpected circumstances like 9.65 lakhs registration for the first attempt itself, has led to changes in exam date, shift and time allotment.

The application form correction window will be also opening on October 08, 2018 as an one time opportunity to correct any mistakes in the application form.

Further, on October 21, 2918, NTA will also release the allotted exam centers to the candidates. Thus candidates will be able to check the same online by entering their application number.

On December 17, 2018, candidates will be issued their admit cards on which the allotted exam date, shift, time and center will be printed along with other details like roll number, photo and signature etc. The admit card will be used as an entry pass to the exam centers.

Now, do let us know are you happy with JEE Main 2019 being held on weekdays too? Is your allotted exam day falling on a weekday? Your opinions are welcomed in the comment box below. For more keep in touch with AglaSem news!
