Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU) has removed current affair section of 20 marks from SNAP 2019. Number of normal questions in general english, analytical & logical reasoning, and quantitative, data interpretation & data sufficiency section has increased from 30 each to 34, 36, 35, respectively.

The numberof special questions in the quantitative, data interpretation & data sufficiency section remain 5 after the recent change. Now, Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) has 110 questions instead of 115.

The total marks of the exam remain the same that is 150 marks. But obviously with the increase in number of question in each section the marks per section has gone up too. Now the fresh pattern says that the marks in general english section is 51, in analytical & logical reasoning it is 54 and 45 in the quantitative, data interpretation & data sufficiency section.

This is not the first time, when SIU has candidates by surprise. With this recent change, the exam pattern of SNAP in 2019 is being changed for the second time. The University announced SNAP 2019 details in August and the pattern of the examination was completely revamped back then too. Until last year, special questions of 5 marks were asked in each section of SNAP. However, in SNAP 2019 pattern revealed 5 special questions of 2 mark each in the quantitative, data interpretation & data sufficiency section only.

What is special questions in SNAP? – These are those questions, for which candidates need to enter answer by using virtual keyboard. Here, candidates will mostly have to enter value as answer.

Other than this, the total marks for each of the 4 section used to be 40 each until last year. However, as per the pattern announced for 2019 the marks in general english, analytical & logical reasoning, quantitative, data interpretation & data sufficiency section and current affairs section were 45, 45, 40 and 20 marks respectively.

Apat from all these, there are no changes in the total marks SNAP 2019 remain to be of 150 marks and the duration of the exam is also the same that is 2 hours. The marking scheme is the same too, which is 25% of negative marking for each wrong answer and +1.5 marks for each correct answer in the general english and analytical & logical reasoning sections. However, in the quantitative, data interpretation & data sufficiency section the marks per correct answer is 1.

The exam will be held in computer based mode across 90 cities of the nation. All the normal questions in the exam will be of objective type. The registration process of SNAP 2019 is open and the last date to apply is today, November 26, 2019. The registration is to be completed in the online mode only at snaptest.org. The admit card for the registered candidates will be uploaded online under the logins from December 02, 2019.
