NMTC 2019 answer key

The Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI) conducted the National Mathematics Talent Contests (NMTC) stage 2 yesterday. Separate papers were held for primary, sub junior, junior, inter, and senior. As students from across the country have to wait a month or more for the results, teachers and coaching centres have stepped in to provide them with answer keys of the papers.

Students took to the internet as soon as their exam got over, to know answers of the questions they faced NMTC. On one hand individual teachers and educators helped students solve their questions on a one on one or smaller groups basis. Whereas on the other hand a few renowned coaching centres have published NMTC 2019 answer key on their official websites, and social media channels.

Resonance, Allen, and Career Point are three such who have published solutions in the form of PDF files. Some of them have also released video solutions over their youtube channels. Students who appeared in NMTC on November 2 can go to resonance.ac.in, allen.ac.in, careerpoint.ac.in, these being their respective websites, to check the solutions that have been provided by them.

Stage 2 of NMTC was a subject paper. Hence detailed solutions have been released instead of a conventional answer key in the form of question number and option number. The only two caveats in using these answer keys are that first of all, they are not official and hence may differ from official ones, and second, they are available for only three exams.

AMTI conducts NMTC as five exams. Primary for class V and VI, by the name of Gauss Contest. Sub Junior for class VII and VIII, as Kaprekar Contest. Junior for class IX and X as Bhaskara Contest. Inter for class XI and XII as Ramanujan Contest. And Senior for degree classes in arts, science and technical colleges as Aryabhata Contest.

At the time of publishing this news Resonance has published answer key for primary, sub junior, and junior. Same has been done by Allen. Career Point is yet to publish for any. However for stage I Resonance had also published answer keys for Inter, so the same is expected for this exam as well. Likewise Career Point has been publishing answer keys for at least three exams every year for the past three years, even released them for stage 1 this year, and is thus expected to publish solutions this time as well.

As far as availability of official NMTC 2019 answer key is concerned, if AMTI releases them they will be available on the official website amtionline.com. The association did release stage 1 answer key. It may or may not release them for stage 2. Nevertheless if they do, then students can easily download them from the website.

Schools where NMTC stage 2 was held have already sent answer books by speed post. AMTI will declare result by the end of December. In the exam held last year, 188 students were selected in final merit list in the primary, sub junior, junior, and inter groups.

Cash awards will be given to the top 3 winners in the finals. 1st ranker will get Rs 5000. 2nd ranker will get Rs 2500. And 3rd ranker will get Rs 1250.
