National Institute of Design (NID) has extended the last date of registering for the NID 2022 entrance exam till December 06, 2021. Earlier, the last date to apply for NID B.Des, M.Des was November 30, 2021, but now the same has been extended by 6 days. Eligible candidates can register for the aforesaid courses on the official website, admissions.nid.edu.
The application form correction for NID B.Des and M.Des is going to commence on December 06 to 13, 2021. The admit card for the entrance test is going to be released on December 23, 2021, and the examination is scheduled for January 02, 2022. Candidates who clear NID for B.Des can get admission in any of the five NID campuses and the one aspiring for M.Des can opt to take admission in any of the 3 NID campuses.
The basic eligibility for NID B.Des is having completed class 10+2 from a recognized board. Similarly, the eligibility for NID M.Des is passing a Bachelor’s in any stream from a government or private university. With that, check out the steps mentioned below to fill the NID 2022 application form:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NID, admissions.nid.edu
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the signup button and then choose the preferred course, nationality, caster category and PWBd category and proceed to the next page
Step 3: Next, enter personal details like the candidate’s name, date of birth, annual income, blood group, academic details, work experience (if any) etc.
Step 4: After this, upload scanned copies of documents such as the candidate’s photograph, signature, caste / PwD certificate, passport within the prescribed limit. The prescribed limit for uploading the scanned documents is 75kb to 100 kb.
Step 5: Finally, pay the application fee as relevant to the candidate’s categories and then submit the NID 2022 application fee

As per the exam pattern, the selection for admission to the NID campus is going to be based on two stages i.e. preliminary and mains exam. The preliminary examination for B.Des is going to have 27 questions in total accounting for 100 marks. Similarly, NID M.Des is going to have 17 questions for 50 marks. The exam will be held in pen and paper mode and questions will be mostly of MCQ, drawing-based, text-based type.
