NID 2019 Admit Card Released; Prelims to be held on 6 Jan

The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the NID 2019 Admit Card prelims for B.Des/GDPD and M.Des DAT programmes which is scheduled to be held on January 06, 2019. It will be compulsory to carry the admit card on the day of examination as candidates will not be allowed to appear for the entrance test without a valid admit card. The aspirants can download their Admit Card online at the website, admissions.nid.edu

Candidates must note that admit card will not be sent to them via post or in any other medium. In order to download the admit card candidates will have to visit the University website, admissions.nid.edu. Then, click on the appropriate link of the “NID 2019 Admit Card”. Thereafter, enter your login credentials like Email Id, Password and Verification Code. Now, admit will be displayed on the page. Download/take a print out of it and retain it till the time admission process gets over completely.  After downloading the hall ticket if a candidate founds any discrepancy/error in the admit card then, he/she shoukd imemediately contact the governing body for assistance.

On the day of the exam, candidates will not only have to carry an admit card but along with that he/she are also required to carry a govt. approved photo ID proof. Candidates can bring any ID proof like Driving License/ PAN Card/ Voter Id Card/ Aadhar Card/ Passport etc. 

As the exam is knocking the doors so candidates should be thorough with the pattern of NID 2019 examination so, that they will be able to crack the prelims examination. Candidates will be evaluated on the Knowledge, Analysis, Visualization, Comprehension, Creativity. It will be a 03-hour exam for a total of 100 marks. The exam will be consisting of two parts. i.e. Part I and Part II.  Part I will be objective type of 70 marks. Part II will be a subjective type in which questions have to be answered in a written format. There shall be no negative marking in the exam.  

Candidates should ensure to reach the exam center prior to the allotted time to avoid the last minute hassle. Electronic devices like mobile phones, calculators are prohibited in the examination premises. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the test center without the copy of the admit card. So, on the exam day candidates should bring the admit card in a printed format.

Candidates who will be qualifying the prelims exam will be eligible to take the mains exam which will be conducted for only those students who have passed the prelims examination. Those candidates who will be qualifying both the stages of the exam will be eligible to take admission in the concerned course applied.
