The New India Assurance Company Limited has released a short notice for NIACL AO ( Administrative Officer ) in a leading daily. According to the same, the online application for the post of NIACL AO Generalist will begin from September 01 to September 21, 2021. The notice also reads that the basic eligibility criteria for the candidate are passing Graduation or Post Graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks from a recognized university. Additionally, the minimum age of the candidate must be 21 years and the maximum age must be 30 years as of April 01, 2021.
The total vacancies announced are reportedly 300, out of which 104 vacancies are for General, 46, and 22 vacancies. Also, 81 vacancies are announced for OBC, and 30 and 17 vacancies have been announced for EWS and PWD candidates. The basic emoluments for a NIACL AO in a metro city are 60,000 per month.
The candidates can apply for the NIACL AO exam once the application link is active on the website, newindia.co.in. They need to initially register themselves on the official website using the registration form. Thereafter, the candidates have to fill the application form by entering all the relevant information i.e. personal details, academic details, address, test centre city and state preference etc. After this, candidates need to upload their photograph, signature, left thumb and a written declaration in the desired size as mentioned on the official notification. Once all of this is done, they have to pay the application fee as mentioned for their respective category and then download a copy of the application form for future reference.
According to the previous year’s notification, the selection process for the NIAC AO Generalist has a Preliminary exam, Mains exam, and an Interview round. The preliminary exam will have 3 subjects viz English, Mathematics, and Reasoning Ability, Each section will have a sectional timing of 20 minutes and there will be 100 questions in total. Similarly, the Mains exam will have two levels i.e. Objective and Descriptive. The objective paper will have four subjects, English, General Awareness, Mathematics, and Reasoning Ability. There will be a composite timing of 2 hours and 200 questions will be asked from all sections.
The Descriptive paper will be also an online test wherein the candidates need to type the answer using the keyboard. There will be two questions i..e Essay and Letter writing and 30 minutes will be allotted to complete the test. The Essay will be for 20 marks while the question based on Letter writing will be for 10 marks. The interview is the last round of the selection process and the final merit list will be prepared by taking marks of Mains exam and Interview round in the 80:20.
