National Health Mission Assam is inviting eligible candidates to fill up vacant posts of Lab Technician. Total of 150 positions is announced for this recruitment. The candidates who are shortlisted for the Lab Technician post are appointed for a short period of 03 months. They have to work for COVID-19 duties in various health centres, hospitals for the announced posts. During this temporary tenure, the newly appointed Lab Technician receives Rs. 16,500/- per month salary. Eligible and interested candidates can submit the application forms before July 19, 2020. Before applying, aspirants must ensure that they fulfil the required educational criteria. A diploma course in Laboratory Technician from Medical Colleges of Assam or Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences, Mizoram or from institutes under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences Assam is required to apply for the announced post of Lab Technician. Aspirants who have work experience in the relevant field are prefered over others. Those who have educational qualification should also satisfy the age limit. Candidate’s age should not be more than 44 years. The conducting body calculates the age as on March 31, 2020. Those who do not meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria are advised not to apply for the NHM, Assam Laboratory Technician recruitment.
The application procedure for Lab Technician recruitment is conducted through an online process only. Eligible candidates can submit their application forms through nhm.assam.gov.in. The link to apply online is available under the ‘recruitment’ section. Hereafter, aspirants have to click on the “NHM, Assam” link to proceed to get the form. In the application form, candidates have to enter their personal details, date of birth, address, work experience, educational qualification details and other important details. Applicants are not required to send their application form to the conducting body.
A list of the provisionally shortlisted candidates based on their eligibility is uploaded accordingly on the official website. The selection of the candidates depends on the interview or any other round conducted by NHM, Assam. The date and venue for the selection process will be conveyed through the official website. Applicants are advised to visit the website regularly to know about the latest updates. NHM, Assam does not release any separate call letters for the interview/selection process. No travel allowance is given to the candidates for appearing in the interview. Besides, the conducting body may conduct a web interview to maintain social distancing norms.
