Indian Army is conducting a recruitment rally for various posts of Soldiers through the Army Recruiting Office (ARO), Kota. An official notice is published in this regard at the official Indian army recruitment website i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates from the districts of Ajmer, Baran, Bundi, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Kota, and Rahsamand are invited to apply for the rally which is scheduled to be held from September 17, 2020, to March 31, 2021. The online application window is open at the Indian Army website from July 18 to August 31, 2020.
Vacancies are advertised for various Soldier posts such as Soldier (General Duty), Soldier Technical/Soldier (Tech) Aviation/Ammunition Examiner, Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical/Inventory Management, Soldier Tradesman 10th Pass (Steward, Chefs, Washerman, Dresser and Support Staff) and Soldier Tradesman 8th Pass (Housekeeper & Mess Keeper). Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions as prescribed for each post can apply for the recruitment before the last date on the Indian Army recruitment website.
Candidates must be within the age range of 17.5 to 23 years to apply for the aforementioned posts except for the post of Soldier (GD). The upper age limit for this post is 21 years. In addition, the physical standards to comply with in order to apply for each post are indicated individually in the detailed notification. In general, candidates must have passed Class 12th to apply for the posts of Soldier (Tech) Aviation/Ammunition Examiner and Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical/Inventory Management. 8th pass candidates can apply for the post of Soldier Tradesman 8th Pass (Housekeeper & Mess Keeper). For all the other posts, the minimum educational qualification required is the Class 10th pass. However, candidates are advised to go through the detailed advertisement to know about the complete educational qualifications in terms of subjects studied and minimum marks obtained.
Candidates are to be initially selected through the Physical Fitness Test at the rally site. It includes activities such as 1.6 km run, Beam (Pull-ups), 9 feet ditch, and Zig-zag balance. Following this, physical measurements are taken as per prescribed standards and candidates have to appear and qualify in the Medical Test. Those who qualify through these initial selection stages are issued admit cards to appear in the Common Entrance Exam (CCE) at the rally site. The admit cards contain the details of the venue, date and time of the written exam. Separate admit cards to appear at the rally are issued to eligible applicants 15 days before the commencement of the rally.
It is mandatory to carry prescribed documents to the rally site. These include the admit card, 20 copies of photographs, education certificates, domicile certificate, caste certificate religion certificate, school character certificate, character certificate, unmarried certificate, relationship certificate, NCC & Sports certificates, affidavit, bank A/C, Pan Card & AADHAR card to the rally site. Candidates must note that the selection is provisional until the Rahadari Certificate is issued to selected candidates and they are dispatched for training. Arrangements for food & accommodation during the rally must be made by the candidates only. The result of the written exam are declared at the army recruitment website specified here.
Eligible candidates willing to take part in the rally for recruitment into the advertised posts are required to apply online as per the specified time schedule. There is no application fee involved as recruitment to the army is free of cost and candidates are warned against fraudulent offers of recruitment made by any third party individual or organisation. The exact date, time and location of the rally site are to be confirmed on a later date.
