Getting a job in Indian Railways is the dream of over 2 crore government job aspirants in India. To fulfill this dream, railways undertook the herculean task of conducting recruitment for 2.83 lakh vacancies since last year. The various recruitment notifications released until now are CEN 01/2018 for ALP and technician, CEN 02/2018 for group D, CEN 03/2018 for JE, CEN 01/2019 for NTPC, CEN 02/2019 for paramedical, CEN 03/2019 for ministerial, and CEN RRC 01/2019 for group D.
The RRBs are majorly looking after recruitment for fresh candidates. Besides those, there are other railway recruitment 2019 also going on, by the RRCs. Some of them are departmental exams, and some are for cultural and sports quota. Latest railway recruitment 2019 is for 386 vacancies in South Western Railway.
South Western Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell invites applications for General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) against notification no. 02/2019. Through this notification, the railways will fill 160 vacancies of senior commercial cum ticket clerk, and 226 vacancies of commercial cum ticket clerk.
Being a departmental exam, it is for existing regular serving railway employees of SWR and RWF/YNK only. The application form for this railway recruitment is supposed to be released today, on October 23, 2019. The time of availability of application form has not been mentioned. Nevertheless the online form should be available by evening/midnight.

After receiving applications, the railways will send the applications to respective divisions or units, namely personnel department of headquarters, UBL, SBC, MYS, CAO / CN, TMO / HQ, UBLS (including the details of GSD / UBL) and MYSS (including the details of MGSD / AP) and RWF / YNK for online verification.
Applicants will be marked as eligible and ineligible. If form is rejected, then sms and email alerts will be sent to the registered email id and mobile number.
There will be a computer based test for the purpose of selection, which will contain multiple choice questions, set in English, Hindi, Urdu, and local languages like Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Konkani. This exam will contain 100 mcqs to be attempted on 90 minutes. Negative marking in the exam will be ⅓.
The post of commercial cum ticket clerk has 115 vacancies for unreserved, 34 for SC, 17 for ST, 60 for OBC. It is open for candidates who have passed 12th with 50% marks, however only passing is necessary in the case of SC, ST, PWD, Ex-S, and candidates who have qualifications higher than 12th. Senior commercial cum ticket clerk post has 82 vacancies for UR, 23 for SC, 12 for ST, and 43 for OBC. It is for candidates with a degree.
