CAT Admit Card

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) activated the link to download CAT 2019 admit card in the candidate dashboards (which appears after candidates login) today, at 5 pm. The admit cards became available for download exactly at that time which was promised by IIMK in its CAT 2019 schedule.

The only way to get the admit card for the Common Admission Test is online, from iimcat.ac.in. The first thing to do, is to go to the website and click login link. Then on the login page, enter user ID, password. Once logged in, click on the admit card tab, that appears besides the application pdf button. This opens a small window on the screen that shows exam center, and shift. Below it is the admit card download link. Clicking it, downloads the pdf version of admit card in the device.

Admit card needs to be printed on an A4 size white paper, using a laser printer. Candidates will have to affix a passport size photograph, same as uploaded in application form, on the space indicated.

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 will be held on November 24, 2019. With a little over a month to go for the exam, admit cards have been released. This time the admit cards have a google map link, that opens up to the exact location of the exam center, and can be used to navigate to the center. Also, there is a reference number to find CAT test room.

The exam will be held in two sessions – forenoon (9 am to 12 noon) and afternoon (2.30 pm to 5.30 pm). For the forenoon session, candidates must report by 7.30 am, and for the afternoon session, they should report by 1 pm.

With the admit card, on the day of exam, one should take at least one original valid photo identification proof. This can be college id, employer id, driving license, passport, pan card, voter id, aadhaar card, identification affidavit.

A total of 2,44,169 lakh candidates have applied for CAT 2019. Of which, 85,810 are female applicants, making up 35.14% of the total applications. Though not exactly near the target set by IIMs to achieve a gender balanced campus, the number of registrations by women are much higher than before.

Last year, 84,350 women applicants had applied for the Common Admission Test. And in the year before that 78,009 did. In the last CAT exam, there was no female candidate in the 100 percentile scorers bracket, all 11 were males.

The overall applications in CAT have also increased, last year 2.41 lakh had applied.

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 is the national level exam conducted by IIMs (this time the organizing institute is IIMK) for MBA / PGDM admissions to the IIMs. Several B schools in the country will accept the CAT exam scores, besides IIMs to offer admission in their management programs.
