National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to release the NEET UG 2022 application form soon. As per critical reports, NEET will be held either on 26th June or 3rd July. Since this report has come to light, candidates have been growing anxious about official exam date announcement by NTA, and release of application form. As of now, the agency is tight-lipped and has not issued any clarification regarding either NEET exam date or application form.
NEET UG 2022 Exam Date Latest News by NTA Today
Insofar NTA is yet to make an official statement on the exam date of NEET UG exam. Nevertheless, TOI as well as Dr Amit Gupta reported firmly yesterday that the exam will be held on a Sunday either in last week of June, or first week of July. Thus, the exam date of NEET UG 2022 is anticipated to be either June 26, 2022, or July 3, 2022.
Why has NEET 2022 application form been delayed?
The following reasons are probable causes of delayed NEET 2022 exam date announcement, application form release.
- NEET UG 2021 counselling is still going on.
- Age limit issue is yet to be heard in court
- Uncertainty in board exam dates
Usually, the NEET exam related processes are done in the months of April to May. However, due to a lot of factors such as delay in the counseling round of NEET-UG 2021, or age limit the whole process has been delayed. Last year also the exam was held much later. Last year the application form was released in July, and the exam was conducted in September.
NEET UG 2022 – Expected Application Form Date
NTA is yet to announce the date on which they will release the NEET 2022 application form. Moreover, they are also yet to announce the exam date. However, TOI’s report and Dr. Amit Gupta’s tweet suggests that the exam will be held either on June 26, 2022, or July 3, 2022.
With the exam date in hand, we can predict the release of application forms.
Going by the schedule of NEET exams held before the year 2021, it is expected that NEET 2022 application form should be available in February itself. However, in the year 2021, the form was released only one month before the exam. Therefore if last year’s delayed pattern is followed then registration will start in May only.

NEET is India’s only UG medical entrance exam. It is conducted by NTA for candidates who are aspiring to join the MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses in the different centres or state-affiliated colleges.
Matter of age limit in NEET 2022
A few days back, it was brought to notice that MCI has fixed an upper age limit for the candidates aspiring for NEET UG. As per the council, the unreserved candidates can apply for the examination till they attain 25 years. Post which, the student’s body led by a group of doctors and lawyers have taken this matter to the Supreme Court requesting to roll back this decision. The whole matter was pushed to March 2022 as the SC will hear the petition again.
