NEET UG 2021 Correction Window

National Testing Agency (NTA) recently issued a public notice informing students about the NEET 2021 correction window. Using this correction window, registered candidates can make changes in the particulars of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 examination. As per the official notice, candidates can use this correction facility on or before October 13, 2021, up to 11:50 pm. They are allowed to make changes in both first and second phases of application form. However, they must bear in mind that this is the last and final correction facility to be given by the agency. After this, NTA authorities will not be entertaining any correction requests under any circumstances.

As mentioned in the public notice, NTA received multiple requests asking for an extension in the NEET UG 2021 correction window. After considering all these requests, the last and final correction window has now been extended to Wednesday, October 13, 2021, up to 11:50 pm. Hence, candidates have been given extra 2-3 days to make changes in their application.

Apart from the deadline extension, candidates must also note that only a few fields in the NEET UG 2021 application form can be rectified using this correction window. These fields include gender, nationality, email address, category, sub-category and fields in the second phase of registration.

Since this is the last NEET UG 2021 correction window, candidates are especially advised to check and cross-verify their email address. This is because candidates will receive a copy of their OMR answer sheet and scorecard on their email address mentioned in the application. Hence, if this particular has any errors in it, candidates will get a hard time receiving their OMR sheet or scorecard. Hence, in order to avoid this blunder, candidates are advised to use this correction window with utmost care and caution.

Some candidates may repeatedly face difficulties while accessing the NEET UG 2021 correction window. If they do so, the public notice mentions a solution for this. All they have to do is contact the agency authorities via contact number or email. NTA’s official contact number is 011-40759000 and its email ID is [email protected] At the same time, they are advised to keep visiting NTA’s official website – either nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in for important updates in this regard.

As per reports, the NEET UG 2021 results are expected to come out once the correction window ends i.e., somewhere around October 15-16, 2021. This is because last year, the NEET UG examination was held on September 13, 2020. Results for the same were announced on October 16, 2020, on the official website. A similar timeline of events is expected to follow this year.
