Railway Says RRB Group D 2018 Exam to Start from 17 September

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally announced the RRB Group D Exam Date 2018. As per the latest notification, the Group D computer based test is likely to begin from September 17, 2018. Though the notice uses the word ‘likely’ but for sure the examination will begin on the due date or few days after it.

Approximately, 1.9 crore candidates applied for the examination and have been waiting for the exam date announcement since March. The wait is over now. Indian Railway has also disclosed that the exam date, session, and city will be disclosed in prior to the candidates. It will be declared through a login, which will become functional 10 days before the examination.

As much as the candidates were waiting for the exam date, they are also waiting for the admit card of the exam. As per the official notification (CEN 02/2018), the RRB Group D Admit Card 2018 will be issued 7 days before the exam date. However, for Loco Pilot examination, the Board released the admit card 4 days before the exam. Hence, candidates may expect the release of the admit card in the first or second week of September 2018 only.

The login for RRB Group D exam date, session, city, and admit card will be available on the official website of 16 RRBs, which are – Bilaspur, Ahmadabad, Ajmer,Ranchi, Mumbai,Patna, Secunderabad, Guwahati, Allahabad, Kolkata,Bhopal, Bangalore, Gorakhpur, Chennai, Bhubhaneshwar, and Chandigarh.

To check and download all of this information, candidates will need Registration ID and Password. The registration id is mentioned in the application form confirmation page and must have been e-mail or sms to the candidates as well. The password to be entered is also to be the same as that decided during the application form process.

Mock Test and Travel Pass will also be provided RRB

RRB will also release a mock test of RRB Group D examination. Through it, the candidates will be able to check how the examination will be. It will be prepared just like the actual CBT and the candidates will get the experience of the examination.

Travel pass will also be issued to the SC / ST candidates. It will only be issued to those candidates who submitted the proof of category during the application form submitting. Candidates will have to carry the travel pass during their train journey to the exam hall and they will get be allowed to travel for free.

Details about RRB Group D CBT

To attempt RRB Group D 2018 CBT candidates will get 90 minutes. In it, candidates will have to solve 100 questions of multiple choice type. These question will be asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness on Current Affairs. The syllabus of the exam is as follows:

The cutoff for RRB Group D  exam is 40%, 30 %, and 25 % for UR, OBC / SC, and ST category candidates.
