In a surprising turn of events today, the Union Government has decided to postpone the NEET PG 2022 examination by 6 to 8 weeks. This news was available on Twitter by a popular media house who tweeted this news. Soon after the news was announced, the students started investigating the truthfulness of the news that was found to be genuine. NEET PG 2022 examination was expected to be held on March 12, 2022.
The date of NEET PG 2022 has become a topic of debate once it was announced that the dates would be clashing with NEET PG 2021 counseling dates. Minutes after this news appeared on the micro-blogging site, a letter was posted by a renowned doctor that specified the root cause of this decision. As per the letter, it was clear that government is in solidarity with those aspirants who have been facing issues with the clash in the NEET PG 2021 counseling dates and NEET PG 2022 exam.
The letter also highlighted that it wishes to provide a fair chance to those candidates who were not able to complete their internship within the due date citing the pandemic. The letter ended with the note that NEET PG 2022 stands deferred for 6 to 8 weeks and the new exam date shall be announced soon.
With this news, there was a sense of hope and happiness amongst the students who have been against this decision since the beginning. Another thing that has to be noted here is that Supreme Court was expected to hear the plea against this decision on February 07, 2022. However, with this decision, there is no point in holding that hearing as the matter is sorted and the verdict is in the favour of the students.
