NEET PG 2021 Counselling Registration, Choice Filling, Locking Ends Today – What Next?

The universities and institutes will conduct the verification process of the internal candidates from January 18 to 19, 2022.

NEET PG 2021 Counselling

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is presently conducting the PG Medical counselling for MD, MS, Diploma and PG DNB courses. However, the last date for completing the registration, payment, choice-filling and locking for the first round of counselling is today, i.e. January 17, 2021. Candidates who haven’t completed the required procedures must do so at the earliest via the official website – mcc.nic.in.

It must be noted that time is an important factor during the NEET PG 2021 counselling process. Hence, candidates must take look into the deadlines within which they have to complete each step.

To know how to begin with the registration process for NEET PG 2021 counselling, here are the steps that one can follow.

Step 1- Firstly, visit the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in

Step 2- Click on ‘PG Medical Counselling’ after which a new page will open

Step 3- Now, press the ‘Online Registration’ button

Step 4- Enter NEET PG roll number followed by the password and the displayed security pin

Step 5- After signing in, one can complete the registration process and the remaining ones.

What’s next?

With the ending of registration, choice filling and locking processes, the verification process will begin from tomorrow, i.e. January 18, 2022 onwards. This verification will be done up to January 19, 2022 for the internal candidates of the respective universities and institutes. After that, the processing of seat allotment will be carried out from January 20 to 21, 2022.

Consequently, the results for the first round of NEET PG 2021 counselling will be declared on January 22, 2022. There will be a 6-day reporting time starting from January 23, 2022 and ending on January 28, 2022. With the end of the first round of counselling, the second round will begin on February 01, 2022. As per the schedule, there will also be a mop-up round for the All-India quota, deemed and central university seats along with the PG DNB seats. This round, however, will begin from February 22, 2022 onwards.

This time, the Supreme Court of India has assured the OBC category candidates a reservation of 27% seats and 10% for the EWS category ones. Although the first round of NEET PG 2021 counselling got halted for some time, the registration process commenced on January 12, 2022. The results for the national PG medical entrance exam were published on September 28, 2021.
