National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has today, November 01, 2021, issued a notice announcing the official calendar of examinations for the upcoming year 2022. The calendar of dates has been published on the official website natboard.edu.in. Accordingly, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) MDS 2022 examination is going to be held on March 06, 2021. It will be the first exam for the new academic year 2022-23 followed by other entrance exams such as NEET PG 2022, DNB PDCET 2022, NEET SS 2022 and FET 2022.
The PG Dental exam was going to be conducted on December 19, 2021. This was also specified in the calendar of events uploaded by the medical board. Candidates were also advised to visit the official website natboard.edu.in or nbe.edu.in for any update about the application form.
A month passed and students were ardently waiting for the NEET MDS 2022 application to release. However, the counselling process for 2021-22 batch was yet to get over. This is despite the fact that the NEET MDS 2021 results were announced in January 2021. Authorities wanted to conduct the counselling process for both NEET MDS and NEET PG together. Hence, there was a delay in finishing the admission process.
Of course, the NEET MDS 2021 counselling process and the NEET MDS 2022 examination could not be conducted around the same time. As this would definitely lead to chaos in the medical fraternity. To avoid this chaos, NBEMS authorities had issued a public notice a week ago, announcing the postponement of the NEET MDS 2022 examination. Almost a 6-month postponement was imposed and the exam was scheduled to be held on June 04, 2022.
A drastic delay such as this is bound to affect the upcoming academic year. However, with the newly-announced calendar of exams, candidates are only looking at a 3-month delay. If the exam is going to be held in March 2022, students can expect the NEET MDS 2022 application form to release in the last week of November or first week of December 2021.
NBEMS has not provided any proper registrations schedule for the NEET MDS 2022 examination. Only the tentative date for the entrance exam is known. Hence, candidates are advised to visit any one of the official portals for important developments in this regard.
