The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting three of the most important entrance examinations in this and the upcoming month. These exams include NEET, JEE Main and CUET 2022. So far, only the examination dates for NEET and JEE Main exams have been announced. NTA is expected to announce the exam dates for CUET 2022 in due time. As of now, candidates seem to be on tenterhooks regarding the availability of the admit cards. However, it must be noted that prior to the release of admit cards, NTA will activate the advance city intimation link for the candidates to check their exam cities.
As understood from the official notifications, the advance city intimation facility is activated a week before the release of the NTA admit cards. Previously, the agency had already released the advance city intimation link for NCHMCT JEE and GAT-B exams 2022. Hence, there are high chances that the same will be done for the three exams in due course
What is advance city intimation?
NTA releases the advance city intimation for almost all of its major entrance exams. Using the facility, applicants can check the allotted exam cities since the examinations are conducted in several centres throughout the country. Once the link is activated for NEET, JEE Main and CUET 2022, candidates have to just enter their application number and date of birth to check the allotted exam city.
Nevertheless, note that the advance city intimation slip is not the admit card for the entrance exams. It just mentions the exact city where the candidate’s exam centre will be located. NTA releases the slip to facilitate the candidates so that they can make necessary travel arrangements. After that, the admit cards will be issued in due time. It is important that once the advance city intimation link is activated, candidates check the allotted city and make all necessary travel and other logistical arrangements in due time.
NTA Admit Card
After the advance city intimation slip is released, NTA will release the admit cards. Candidates have to appear for the entrance exam as per the date and time mentioned on the admit cards. In any case, the admit cards will not be sent via post or any other means. The examinee must ensure that the admit card is not mutilated and the same must be preserved in good condition for future use. Note that candidates whose applications are found incomplete for any reason will not be issued the admit cards.
